 | I am going to make this review as honest as possible...
This was our 1st time attending club play and 99% sure it wont be out last. I say we as I attended this one with my partner (barbieandtim)
We arrived early and we were one of the 1st cpls there aside from staff and what was clearly super regulars. We did this to get a jist of place and not feel anxious walking into an already packed club. 1st impressions of the outside(down a cpl of dark dodgy looking alleys) were not great however pleasantly surprised at facilities inside!
We were made to feel very welcome by the guy touring us/Dj-ing and offered a free shot as it was party night. Hosts introduced themselves and were lovely.
The club got relatively busy with a good mix of ages and member types (single men, cpls, t girls, women)and every body type.
Played a few games of pool, chatted to a few people and had a GREAT social experience which to me is very important, however it definutely felt more that! Like a social club... several members were peacocking acting like they owned the place and it was clear they wanted everyone to know they were there and very look at me which as newbies is off putting, no need for it also women refering to men as "meat" which imo is disrespectful. If a man did that i would be horrified!
Tim and I decided to start the action and took ourselves to cpls room whilst everyone else partied to come on eileen and the likes til gone 11 (not one person upstairs except single men watching us) finally when others did join "happy birthday" rang out mid sexytime getting more upbeat causing 6 of us to stop and not continue as it seemed to never end but was funny none the less.
It was very cold in certain areas and too hot in others due to blow heaters in each room, not central heating and sheets DEFINITELY need a clean as before anyone had evsn played bodily fluids were visible. Heating sitch I appreciate cannot be helped however the sheets can!
We will definitely come back on a non party night and make a judgement call as to if it is for us but if we need to do 5 outfit changes or neck everyone in the vicinity to fit in then it probably wont be for me!
Club size, choice of rooms, decor, hosts = amazing.
Lack of central heating/ iffy sheets/OTT members = not so great.
Think people need to try this place more than once to make a decision for themselves.
Also anyone we spoke to/met socially; I mean you pool hustlers, lady with the amazing bubble butt and 4 in the cpls room feel free to drop us a message/wink! X
