I've read the review in Question and have to agree with some of the comment being made, but only doing so in the hope that someone at the club will listen. The review page is just that. why ppl can't leave a review on the club without getting abusive message bk is just out of order. So to the management. of the Attic listen to what ppl have to say its in your interest if you wish to make this club be one of the best around.

My husband and I have been regulars at the Attic sonce January 2011. We were completely new to the swinging scene when we first went and what a daunting experience it was!

We were warmly welcomed by Ron and his team as it was then and we took to it like a duck to water - what more can be said than we were instantly hooked.

We continued to go most weekends and every greedy girls night for the following eighteen months and sadly to say it spiralled downhill as the months went on.

There are a number of things that I feel I should point out about the Attic - all of which are meant with the greatest of respects as a means to help put things right.

THE HOT TUB - This started off as a beautiful venture for the club, a sparkling clean environment for people to relax and socialise - sadly it became known as the 'swamp' as time went on. The smell was most unsavoury at the best of times.

ALCOHOL - Although this club does not have a license you are invited to bring your own drinks and label them - on numerous occasions our drinks would go missing.

DOMESTICS - What started out as a friendly social club soon switched into a place for certain people to air their dirty linnen with weekly domestics - it really isn't what you want to witness when you have come for a sexy night out.

DRESS CODE - It clearly states on the website the dress code for for men an women and how the managment of the Attic expect this to be adhered to. We would see many men arriving in scruffy clothing, shorts and flip flops, dirty trainers and in many cases still smelling unpleasant from a days work. Where most of the women in the Attics defence dress to impress there were some that appeared unkept too.

APPEARANCE OF THE CLUB - It really did get to the stage where we felt as long as it was free or very cheap 'it would do' in form of decoration, upkeep etc. This club could be absolutely stunning with a little money given to the place.

PESKY MEN - There have been a couple of occasions where I personally have been the victim of pushy males - on one instance a man tried to push his penis into my mouth whilst I was on a bed with my husband without asking - in fairness I did report this to Ron and he did give this rude man a warning.

THE NEW BUILD - We really wish Ron and his team all the best for the extension - but I state with sorrow I feel it is not the right thing for this club - barely being able to fill the existing parts rings alarm bells about extending. When we first began attending the club it was always busy and vibrant, the numbers just dwindled as did the atmosphere.

2 ENTRANTS - I am aware of a three males who turned up a few weeks ago arrived with two full bottles of whiskey and were allowed entry. They proceeded to smoke drugs in the toilets and were then asked to leave - this could have easily been prevented with a membership fee and warning bells should have been rung with the presence of two bottles of hard liqour!

We have also been to two other swingers clubs and found them to be a totally new experience, the staff dressed in Moulin Rouge attire, immaculate hot tubs scented of the appropriate chemicals, decor to the highest of standards, men with the correct etiquette etc - once we had experienced this we had fully made our mind up never to return to the Attic.

I really want to express to especially Ron and Malc that none of this is said out of malice - in fact we think fondly of you both, however, we just don't feel that the regulars are coming first - it seems to be as long as the money is taken on the door it is all that matters. As someone who has been weekly for eighteen months I have experienced it from a first hand customers point of view and I hope that you listen to these concerns.

I wish you all the best for your future and the new extension - but we truly feel until the issues with the exiting building are ironed out the outlook for the extension is bleak.

we went to the attic on Thursday 28th of June the 23rd. We first off went to the Cinema. We were given the guided tour and as commented on before there are building works going on. That said everything was clean. It is a friendly club there wasnt alot of people in the cinema but we had a good time and decided to return that evening.

There were a lot more people in the evening with some lovely friendly couples as well as some single guys. There was the one guy who kept forgetting to ask before trying to join the fun but as a whole it was a fun night. We split up or should I say Ron was introducing her to the cross so I went for a look round and found a couple putting on a show and was lucky enough when I asked to join was invited to do so. No names but there was no water shortage that night lol. Single guys who complain about nothing happens or they don't get to play. Remember a little respect, space and ask don't just expect. We will be going back and we can't wait for the extention to open in September. Anyone thinking about trying the cinema come down on Tuesday 3rd July as Emma will be holding her Birthday party there. Thank you all for a fantastic day.

My partner (club experienced!) and I (newbie!) went on Friday 22nd june evening about 8.30 ish. We had a very good tour of the club by the owner, who showed us all the rooms and the club etiquette, and learned about the new extension being constructed in the adjacent building.

The club has free teas, coffees, etc and is also very hot on hygiene with free condoms and cleaning stuff all over the place. The club was smell free and appeared clean although the carpet might not have felt so to bare feet? Part of this is the building works going on in the extension so can be forgiven.

The club was pretty quiet although a few couples had arrived by the time we left about 9.45. There is a limit on the number of single guys so what appears to happen is they all arrive early to ensure a place. This works fine if there are plenty of couples but we found there were perhaps 3 couples and half a dozen single guys.

In the end we felt the club wasn't to our tastes. We wish the club all the best, as there are very good intentions in the club managment, and hope they succeed. They very kindly refunded our entry fee which was a lovely gesture, and the lack of membership fee is also very generous.

went to the club tuesday afternoon, found it very quiet, 4 guys and the films being shown were oldies. told that couples do go daytimes but would think that its quite rare! found place to be clean but no fun here for me and a £10 entry was a bit steep for old films.

when writing club reviews I tell the truth good or bad, its entirely my own opinion of the experience I had.

The Attic - in my opinion a club to avoid based on these points:

- The place is dark and has a very grime feel to it.

- The toilets - very unhygienic, dirty with wet floors.

- The rooms - very basic, I walked into one room, there was obviously some play that had gone off in the room. The bed had wet patches on it and I saw condoms and tissues on the floor.

- It wasnt very sociable...a lot of people just sitting down, not talking. To be honest most of them looked bored.

- There was a guy wondering around who looked like he had just finished work in a car garage and smelt like it too. Why are people like this being let in?

As I said, this review is based on my experience, there are others on here who I guess would disagree. If you dont have high standards and the above doesnt bother you then I guess give it ago. If you do then I would highly recommend that you avoid.

We visited this club a few weeks ago to see what all the fuss is about. We found it very friendly as soon as we walked in, and the owner was very keen to show us around, and gave us a glimpse of whats to come. It provides a safe environment for all to play, without the high prices of some other clubs. Hope to see you guys again soon.

been to the attic a few times over the years and enjoyed it but as a few reviews have been put on here with narrow minded comments i have decided to put the FACTS out there for you all to make an informed judgement

the club is the cheapest at £20 for single gents and £10 for couples with free tea coffie and soft drinks

decore is a bit dated but a big extension is on the way so understanably some bits have slipped

cleaning well the place is clean simple but a few members dont help by using the cleaning materials provided to clean there own jucies up so theres my only bit on cleaning but not the clubs fault

staff always up for a laugh and have been on the scene a while so have experience and nothing is to much for them.

just so every one knows just speak to staff if your worried about anything or somethings wrong and they do there up most to resolve it dont wait and bitch about it at home that spoils your own time plus if it mentioned straight away it easier to solve and benifits everyone

sorry its a bit long

We had a tour of this club last Saturday night.

This is an honest review of what I thought, the club is not trying to be something it isn't, it does not try to imply that it is a upmarket venue with outstanding facilities, it does provide a club that will suit some and not others, every club does that, for some plush surroundings and costly fixtures and fittings are what they are looking for and are happy to pay premium prices to get what they want, others are just looking for a comfortable place to meet like minded people with adequate facilities to have some fun, for them the Attic is perfect, which is why it has a lot of supporters and a lot who think it's not for them.

I believe it has found a niche in the market and will continue to make a lot of people happy but if your after the upmarket approach this is not the club for you.

The Attic is has the cheapest entry costs in the UK and supply free tea and coffee to the members. It has adequate parking and lot's of areas for people to socialise and get together to chat as well as lot's of play areas. Parking is ample.

For some people the decor of a club is not as important as other factors and a lot of people have a great time there, I agree with the previous poster, regulars and supporters stop with the multi posts about the club it just makes you sound desperate to get others to go and those who didn't think it was for them say so in a constructive, inoffensive and honest way oh and perhaps do a little more research into what clubs you do go to in future (not having a go just think that will save you time and money and is said in a way to help). Too many people are reviewing this and other clubs 20 times or more and it always makes me and others think that a core of regulars are desperate to get others to visit that club because they are struggling to get people in.

For us, no it's not our type of club but the staff are great, they don't pretend to be something they are not and they provide a good venue for those that seek an affordable place to have fun, I wish them every success in the future and also thanks to all those at the club on Saturday that made our brief visit a friendly one.

You know, this club review section for the Attic makes appalling reading for anyone thinking of going. Good reviews and bad reviews are acceptable, but the consistent good reviews by the same regulars make for biased opinions, and the constant arguing between people who leave disagreeable reviews and 'regulars' is appalling. Of all the clubs listed, the Attics review forum is the most childish, churlish of them all. Now, pay attention...this is NOT a slate at the club or its owners, it is observation made about the way people post views/reviews, both regulars and newcomers. If you visit and dont like it, say so in a constructive manner without being rude to the club or its staff and regulars. Attic staff and regular customers, STOP getting involved in feeling you have to defend the club by attacking people who leave a poor review. It's the many comments from regulars on here, that gives the impression of a cliquey club, which no-one likes. You are doing this club no favours even though no doubt you mean well. Everyone is entitled to an opinion....stop attacking those who don't leave a good review.....and new visitors, if you don't like the club, don't be rude, leave constructive criticism without being offensive.
