	We used to visit this club regularly and, for quite some time, really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere it had. Unfortunately, things changed when new management took over, and our first experience under the new setup was not the best. On one occasion we brought a friend along who had never visited a club before. We had always recommended DV8 as a great place to start because it had previously felt welcoming and easygoing. Shortly after arriving, we went to the smoking area for a vape — an area that had been used as the smoking space for the previous two years we had been attending. Without any introduction or explanation, a member of management abruptly told us off for vaping there and informed us that smoking was now outside at the back of the building. There were no signs indicating the change, and at the time we didn’t even know the person speaking to us was the manager. The new smoking area was a muddy patch of grass with no lighting, which didn’t feel like the most welcoming alternative. While that first impression wasn’t great, we tried to overlook it and visited a few more times. Sadly, the atmosphere of the venue had changed quite a bit. Much of the comfortable seating had been replaced with old-style pub tables and chairs, which made the venue feel less like a relaxed social club and more like a worn-out pub environment. For us, it lost some of the charm and comfort that had originally drawn us there. Eventually we decided it just wasn’t the environment we were looking for anymore and stopped attending. We never felt the need to leave a negative review at the time, as everyone’s tastes differ and running a venue is never easy. However, since then we have received several messages inviting us back to the club. We politely replied that we weren’t interested as the atmosphere was no longer what we were looking for, particularly with single males now attending all events. With only one lockable room in the venue, it simply wasn’t somewhere we personally felt comfortable relaxing and enjoying ourselves. Despite politely declining, both of my partners’ individual accounts continued to receive messages from the club’s management encouraging them to attend. These were often very brief messages such as “Hey” or “Hiya”, sometimes sent hours apart, rather than clear or professional invitations explaining what the club offers. Even after explaining that it wasn’t for us, the messages continued until the accounts eventually had to block them. For a venue that should prioritise comfort, respect, and good etiquette, this kind of persistent messaging single ladies accounts unfortunately doesn’t create a great impression or inspire confidence. Based on our experiences we would personally advise others to consider whether it’s the right environment for them before attending, we know we will not be again under this management. 	We visited DV8 on the 19th January after friend's suggested coming along we were hesitant as we had been before on two occasions in the past and was not impressed with it one bit it was like being in a care home with elderly people which was not our thing at all. Being regular visitors to Pleasures and have been for twelve years we have been spoilt by one of the best clubs if not the only club in Kent with great staff and lovely people that have become great friends. So we again ventured to DV8 and wondered what webwere letting ourselves into. Well we have to say changes have been made firstly new ownership. We met Mick who has taken over the reigns with his business partner and they have made welcome changes to this venue. He is a very nice man who is learning the ropes as he goes along. He spent time with us and our circle of friends and explained what his ambitions are and how he was going about them. He was happy to listen to our ideas reference further changes that we felt were needed. There were only about twenty people in the club including staff but we felt that there was a good vibe about the place that can only get better as time goes on. The clientele were 30’s to 60’s and felt that was the ideal age range others may have other ideas on that. It was good to see decent guys there four to be truthful but they were nice with great banter and all got on well. The playrooms need some revamping as there was only one lockable room and open play areas. We felt that it would be good to have another couple of lockable rooms so that privacy was available as not everyone wasn’t to be watched or be taken for granted by unwanted persons. This all costs money and know how but maybe this could happen at a later date. The staircase is a bit unsafe as it was narrow but could be dangerous especially after a few drinks and ladies wearing heels but could do with updating. Accidents do happen and falling down those stairs could be a problem leading to a serious injury(my health & safety hat on). We felt that the pricing structure could be reviewed as we still question why should single guys pay more than a couple. If there was a flat charge of £35 for couples and single guys because why should they be charged more and it makes for an expensive night. It may encourage more single guys to attend along with couples and single ladies. The bar area is far too small especially if the club got busy so perhaps it would be an idea to make the area where the bar is bigger taking out the seating area in it and from there management can keep an idea on what is going on. We liked the fire with burning logs great for cold winter nights. The music wasn’t conducive to getting anyone on the dance floor so a revamp of the music plus the volume of it could be looked at. The smoking area could do with a revamp with some lighting and seats plus lighting leading out to the carpark. So the above is by no way a criticism of this venue there is a lot of changes needed for the better of the club. The inside seating area and tables is a welcome improvement and looks good. So we have every intention of going back to DV8 mainly on a Saturday night because we feel that this place could be regenerated into an up and coming swinging venue which is sadly lacking in the immediate area and places in North and Eastern Kent. Like all new venues there needs to be support from new swingers whether newbies or experienced ones and with Micks vision and hard work together with support from people like us this could be something good and a lovely venue for people to explore their sexual fantasies dress provocatively and make new friends. Please read our review and those of others and give it ago. A new dimension in your life and something you may want to give ago. 	We visited DV8 on 19th December and had a great evening. It was not by any means “ heaving” but the atmosphere was extremely welcoming particularly as we were new there. Management, staff and patrons were extremely friendly, play areas were clean & tidy. There is a large flat, and very secluded car park Although the club is quite small (not taking into account the extensive grounds which we have yet to see) it felt quite cozy and intimate. We had read many of the other reviews prior to going and were glad we made the decision to see for ourselves, as we all know a review (including ours) is purely based on one persons opinion of their experience on one night. I think we need to remember this is under new management who are trying to build a club from the ground up. They need people to take a chance and help turn this club into the fantastic space it has the potential to be. Yes, there are areas for improvement. The entrance, toilets, maybe some additional lockable play rooms. Agreed, the dance floor is small. But we’ve been to many other clubs with great big dance floors (one by Heathrow for example) and still, no one dances. It’s not the clubs fault the people in it don’t want to dance. Admittedly, the music played will make a huge difference, but aren’t all clubs notorious for crap music? And as for “uneven floors & trip hazards”, apart from a stair case to the first floor that requires careful navigation, we didn’t notice. Again, all clubs we’ve been to have stairs (West Brom, Heathrow, Blackpool, and many others) and some have stairs between every area as well as uneven floors where improvements have been made. Additionally, the rules & etiquette do need to be enforced more strictly. Mobile phones are not OK in clubs although not something we experienced. Dress code too. But in fairness to management, they are actively seeking ideas and suggestions from those who enjoy the lifestyle. And they do take these ideas/suggestions seriously and implement if necessary. At the end of the day, no club will suit everyone. The welcoming of single guys is fantastic for some (like us) but not to others who only full swap. We do hope that people see reviews for what they are and give this place a chance. Give it a go. Maybe add your suggestions to management. Yet to visit the location during daytime but the car park is spacious and on our first arrival there was a friendly parking attendant which was a nice touch. For this NYE trip, these were the observations: -Staff were friendly especially the gentleman in the tie who also acted as roaming playroom attendant. -No bar license but a BYOB policy is good. -There were finger food buffet which was a nice touch. - Despite seemingly the only ones who made full use of the dancefloor, the social area and dancefloor are very nice albeit with little dancing other than after midnight. x. The venue has so much potential and could do with some modernisation I'd say and more privacy in the playrooms. x. The loitering of guys outside the play areas and there were a few who didn't engage with you but basically hunting and not in the good way. x. 	We visited dv8 for the first time last night. We were met in the car park by a lovely funny gentleman, proceeded into the club we were met by the management who were very welcoming. We were shown around the club. The club got busier around 10pm. Everyone was pretty much gone by midnight! The club has potential but currently not great! The dance floor is small and no one used it. Unfortunately can’t keep your drinks at the bar so either keep it in a locker or keep going to your car. ( no point having a bar) needs to be bigger to accommodate people’s drinks. Relax the guests. They are steps every where, trip hazards for the ladies. The atmosphere felt like an old gentleman’s pub with the seating areas, nothing sexy about it at all. No privacy rooms. Believe me when I say this I hate to write bad reviews but I do believe it has a lot of potential. Maybe if management went and visited a few other clubs in the area, that would give inspiration for their club and how it should be run. Maybe if management went and visited a few other clubs in the area, that would give inspiration for their club and how it should be run.

We do hope to visit in the future but it needs gutting out and restarted.

	Went on Friday for House of Ria - first visit to DV8. I think the best description is that it was a combo of school hall/scout hut/retirement home in terms of environment. A very mixed crowd - lots of older folks and a few younger. Dress code clearly is anything goes - some very well dressed in fantastic lingerie, others looked like they had come to check the plumbing and just stayed on for the evening. People happily using mobile phones in the open, prob as it's the only club I've ever been to with no lockers, so if you need to get changed, you do so upstairs in a corridor area, altho the carpark is very private so can come dressed up. People who were carrying out demos were absolutely lovely and knew what they were doing, plus it's only £15 to go in and no need to pre book. There is a huge opportunity with the location to refurb it and make it an amazing venue, but as it is i won't be coming back. Also be careful if you have mobility issues or wearing heels. Plus the discreet car park that takes 50 cars (so no need to park on road like so many other places). Add to that, always friendly fellow customers. We've been to plenty of other clubs and this is one of the nicest clubs we know. Date: 21 June 2025

This is a great club which offers so much. Generously sized club house which has eight playbeds upstairs, all covered beds so they can be kept clean, a well-equipped dungeon which apparently is available separately for hire, a swimming pool, really comfortable smoking area, and a lawn for sunbathing. Plus the discreet car park that takes 50 cars (so no need to park on road like so many other places). Add to that, always friendly fellow customers. We've been to plenty of other clubs and this is one of the nicest clubs we know.

	We have attended this club twice now, once for their Grand reopening and again on Saturday for the pineapple club, and to be brutally honest...we weren't impressed. I think with most clubs, being a great experience comes down to three factors. The Premises, The Staff and The clientele. Firstly The Premises. This has huge potential, but its stuck in the past...you're greeted with a beautiful scene when entering, with fairy lights and chopped wood laying in the corridor, feels almost enchanted, but walk through the doors and you're essentially in what feels like a working man's club. There is an empty dancefloor with the worst type of music playing, nothing sensual, just put a Now 2000 CD in and let it play. A bar only big enough to serve 1 person at a time, 2 dungeons that are empty of any experienced players (infact one was taken up on Saturday with what I can only describe as a car boot sale for swinging gear and second hand dresses). The smokers area is actually pretty good, spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating. The playrooms upstairs are not great...there is seating and tables for social gatherings placed between beds, a big problem that I'll get onto later. Very baffled by their glory hole, its just odd and they have restraints attached to one side of it as if they couldn't think if anywhere else to put them. The Staff. Didn't catch their names but wouldn't want to shame them here anyway, but they seem a bit, unapproachable. Almost like thay don't like being there, not the cheerful and exciting crew we've experienced elsewhere. The Clientele This is what has helped solidify our opinion of the place, the majority seem like they are stuck in this place unable to swing. Many little groups that give off the impression that going upstairs to play is a treat reserved for special occasions and unable to express or explore their sexuality. Very annoying was a group that gathered in the seating areas in the playroom having a loud conversation about their normal day to day antics whilst people are trying to get intimate, on top of this they felt it ok to also be playing with their mobile phones too...yes phones out in the play area. They were told to put them away, but it's clear they have zero understanding of the lifestyle and the etiquette expected. Due to this we moved play to a room. We had a couple enter the room we were playing in shortly after and the male half attempted to join in without asking, he had to be told no twice by the girls before I had to raise my voice, causing him to leave. Really is a shame, to see so many swingers that appear to be stuck in an environment that isn't really conducive to swinging, and can only imagine that many have a strong desire to explore but are unable to comfortably. This club needs good experienced clientele to really turn this place around and unfortunately, it's just not an attractive enough atmosphere to bring them in. Date: 11 June 2025

	We visited DV8 last night for the first time and were met by Bob in the car park who was such a friendly guy. Once inside we were met by the owner John who gave a guided tour and then to the bar to meet Kelly. We had picked a quite night but everyone was friendly. We made use of the upstairs play area which was fun. We will be back Date: 15 September 2024
