1st ride out when and where?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Had a few rides out (essential journeys). Today was my 1st group organised ride out. It was a funeral escort for a 3 year old who died of leukaemia. The streets of Carlisle were lined with people paying their respect to this wee man. Goodnight and God bless little Stan |

"No doubt Matlock will be buzzing
Matlock was buzzing during the first lockdown when everyone was supposed to be staying at home. Didn't shine a good light on the biker fraternity "
Without bikers there be no Matlock though |

Once lockdown is over I'm seriously thinking about booking a few days off work. Whacking a tent on the tail and buggering off to Scotland.

"Actually come to think of it that will be mine to lol....
Forgot about the old MOT."
The MOT extension was really handy for me, meant I could align it to the service. Given the shop is a 30m dull motorway journey I'm so glad I don't have to do it twice.

Riverside chippy on Church Street is the one the locals recommend but it doesn't open till 4pm and we are normally fed and heading home by 4pm |

Had a run round at the weekend, just to get bike fit again after winter, we managed 20 miles before we had to stop for a stretch ????. Love the run to Whitby, roll on end of lockdown and the nice weather. Happy riding in more ways than on your bike ???? |

Just recently traded in a BMW K1200RS for a Triumph Sprint GT 1050.
So for the past few weekends I have just been getting used to the bike doing a nice 70 mile loop. No stopping apart from fuel.

"In always extra cautious at the start of the riding season as motorist have not seen bikes on the roads for several months and have kind of forgotten we exist.
"
Exactly this. I’ve been riding all the way through the Pandemic as a key worker. The roads have been quieter.

That's very true, in the north west at any rate.

"Carter Bar then round towards Newcastleton and back along past Kielder Water last night.
First ride about 160 miles to blow the cobwebs off.
Lots of good places to stop and play as well."
Thats a great route for the first ride out now its legal to do so, as long as you didn't cross the barbed wire on the border |
