Bike is booked in for a service next week and I'll be getting a courtesy bike from them. Wondering how far I can take it without taking the p!ss! It is likely to be an S1000XR or a GS so potential is there for some decent miles over a couple of days.

I was given a loan bike for a week. There was no stipulation, only an understanding to cover my normal usage.

I put about 300miles on it, and they didn't blink.

Should have done more!

Get on it an get some miles in would be my advice, unless they stipulate a certain mileage.

I took a 1250GS Adv from Bowkers whilst my 1250GSTE Exclusive was in for servce.

Went to Scotland on it from Lancashire, they where fine about it.

I had a loan bike whilst my street triple was getting worked on. Ended up taking them a month to diagnose and fix.

Stuck 2k miles on the loan bike! They didn't care and didn't say a word, except that I should have taken it back to have them tighten the chain instead of doing it myself
