We have never had any problems keeping up with chat with 200 in a room.
The new numbers of 175 is a real nuisance as is the supporters virew mode.It is now even more difficult to get into rooms!!!!!!
We want to get into rooms on cam and chat and have some fun.
Can we restore the 200 number and dump the perve mode? |

We'll be improving the mechanism of the "perve mode" so that it doesn't get in the way of folks who only like to enter interactively

Admin have also said that, in the next couple of weeks, they will be closing the 'loophole' that some people are exploiting to get into more than one chat room at the same time. This should make it easier to get into the room that you want. x |

SunnyO, I think the 'perve mode' being referred to was the "read only mode" rather than the "multi-room hack".

Have you considered allowing users to select read-only when they enter the room, EVEN if it isn't full? There are many people who enjoy watching cams and reading the chat, but don't feel comfortable joining in. This would reduce the number of times that the "interactive" room limit was reached. |

We've thought about it but we're reluctant to get too clever with this, and people generally seemed to hate the idea of others being able to sneak around without being seen (hence the privacy option we introduced to opt out of this).

The next update of chat will stop it, but the best option is always to join the next free room with space. The rooms will always fill to capacity.

wish there were some private rooms.
We have ended up before with a massive amount of people looking at our cam, maybe only 2 or 3 actually communicating with us. |

You're probably best using MSN/skype for private chats, the chat rooms by their very nature are public rooms and what you describe is simply how they work.

Which is the better of the two, Skype or MSN, having not got either..."
MSN is full of viruses and scammers skype maybe better but we never use either.

Any thoughts on the introduction of private rooms, perhaps all gold members have a private room for a max of 5 people?
Sometimes the cam rooms are a voyuers heaven, so the idea of interaction, (surely the main aim), has gone |

We have a lot of concerns about private rooms, but we've built our chat software with the facility for user created private rooms and we may trial at some point.
