I use a Mac mini and have no problem using a separate webcam. I guess you have adobe Flash installed?

Safari is not the issue as it works fine on safari for me.

I had issues with my iMac. Not tried chatting on cam with my MacBook though.

Think I solved it by going into the settings on the Mac. I’m sure there was an option to change webcam settings in there somewhere. Also in the chat room you can select which camera you use during chat.
