Really hope you have a fab time babe. I had half an hour spare, I went through people's profiles and 60% have blocked messaging from tv/ts. Off course that's their choice, but I wouldn't socialise with them. I also block them and anyone who does the same on this site.......

There are often more reasons for that filter to be used than blocking tv/ts and i have used it myself sometimes too.

It certainly isn't to block the likes of you or others like me that's for sure.

There are only so many times I want to see a hairy guy in a pair of his wife's knickers I'm afraid and having spoken to some of those who do use that filter ive found that it is usually for the same reason too.

Don't take it to heart as its not always as it seems x

Trust me I don't take it to heart. Your absolutely right in saying some put that block on to stop tv's and the dreaded how's. I've run club nights at 3 different clubs so no the score. Each to their own at the end of the day x

"

I've met a few from here who choose not to show tv/ts and they have zero issues with tv/ts people, its only the constant barrage of hpw's that means they don't show it and apply the filter. I would have met a hell of a lot more too had Covid not blighted things.

Its all about attitude and not gender/sexuality I find as being this way has opened far more avenues than being a normal male on here has, far more.

The event is still going ahead as a social distanced live music event so happy it hasn’t been shut down regardless of the people reporting to the papers about rules and it not been Covid safe.

The council and health officials have given it the go ahead.

Couldn’t be happier 9 days and counting.

If you don’t have anything positive to write about the event or are attending then you shouldn’t be posting how it shouldn’t be going ahead. The event has been cleared by the council and health officials.

Whats an adult bouncy castle

I only quoted from what HU9 had originally publicised, and from the Councils statement yesterday, made in the local Press.

She appears to just be filling the thread up, she isnt going, no tickets left, so no need to pander to her questions x"

I can surely ask what questions I want as I recall this isn't a one time thing I have heard of swingfest before but never been so was curious you may be the op of this post but I'm not sure are you the organiser of swingfests ?

Has anyone going to Swingfest read the government guidelines ?

Think she's asked a valid question actually this could easily turn from swingfest to covidfest ...

Latest from the Council yesterday, is that the event has been given approval but sexual activity won't be permissible on site.

Stick to the thread topic.

There are several threads already running regarding the event.

The event organisers can be contacted directly through thier profile on the site if you require any information on the event.

Pink, Madonna and Magic Mike tribute and fire breathers, being around like minded people and a bar.

I never cared about the playrooms so it has changed nothing.

Nobody is listening to it being a social event.

Still just excited and this WILL go ahead

You going to get "haters" unfortunately.

If all threads went the same way many of these swingfest ones have then it would be a very sad forum indeed.

If someone made a post asking who liked say Ann Summers lingerie and most of the replies were negative or if people asked which clubs were good to visit and most replies were bitchy, nobody would bother using the forums yet that has been the case with these threads and its a sad old state of affairs.

This lifestyle is meant to be a positive thing and yet regarding swingfest which has been given the all clear by people with far more knowledge than most forumites give them credit for, the ok for it to go ahead had been granted.

Im sure if the councils and governing bodies who are making the official rules and guidelines were not OK with how it will be run then it would NOT be going ahead.

Stay positive as these are the first tentative steps being taken towards us all getting back to some semblance of normality in all walks of life.

Someone always has to go first.

As many are already aware, what has been said by the local media isn't strictly true and is not what has been agreed by either the relevant authorities nor by those organising the event so the media cannot be taken as gospel.

Im more than happy to continue to hear from those attending this event and look forward to meeting people while staying well within the correct guidelines as the event has been set up to follow.

I believe they are on about the original media outcry regarding swingfest, the one that was picked up by ladbible and all over facebook rather than the new news story thats all

HU9 have done an amazing job at making sure they follow all strict guidelines with regards to the current climate and i for one can only applaud them for the efforts in safeguarding those attending as im sure it could not have been easy but working closly with the council is the best way to do this and i for one will always follow the social distancing laws but still have a great time while doing it

We cant wait to go, we're looking forward to having an amazing time.

Well aware of the risks, we'll follow the rules set out by the local council and government guidance.

Glad the club have followed these as well to make sure it all goes ahead safely and properly.

Thanks for everyone's concern but we're old enough to decide for ourselves if we think it’s a good idea or not...realistically we don't really care if people have an issue with it, thats their problem, we're not doing anything wrong or breaking any lockdown rules. Our only problem will be how warm the weather is and how soon I can get naked

Yeah it was the original Hull mirror report on the event which was rather inaccurate about the event thats what i think caused the original uproar regarding the event played out like it was going to a free for all. written by people who still see swinging as a keys in bowl type scenario and not what we all know it really is

We’ve got tickets and we’re really looking forward to it.

We’re all adults, an similar to our sexual preferences and kinks, we all have social preferences and boundaries, if you want to go then you’ll have tickets and we’ll see you there, if you don’t want to go then that’s fine too, that’s your choice.

I don’t care what gender you are, what kink you have, whether you like me or not, all I know is I’ll be there with my beautiful lady and we’ll have a good night at a quality event.

See you there lovely people.

I posted it to let the people who are not happy with the event know who to go to to complain.

It is pointless people adding to every thread about this event that they are not happy with it and it is starting to be disruptive.

If you or others want to discuss the event and the reasons why you don't think it should go ahead then by all means start a thread about it but please leave these type of threads alone

Thanks

It’s a social event only no playing allowed so basically it’s exactly the same as pub having music on. It dosent matter who is attending or what lifestyle they live or what they do after the event as it will be the same as attending every other pub up and down the UK on any given weekend.

I don’t see people’s problems with it.

So is this your way of perpetuating an already dodgy situation through this thread and the forums before you have done a fact check?

You really are not helping anything with posting this kind of thing on the forums.

Ruby the mod already posted a link to a Hull Daily Mail article on this site so I thought it was permissible to comment on a more recent article. I have nothing to do with contributing to this newspaper so why is it my business to fact check what they print ?

I posted it to let the people who are not happy with the event know who to go to to complain.

It is pointless people adding to every thread about this event that they are not happy with it and it is starting to be disruptive.

If you or others want to discuss the event and the reasons why you don't think it should go ahead then by all means start a thread about it but please leave these type of threads alone

Thanks "

Thankyou Rugby, that is all any of us looking forward to this have been hoping for. These threads are meant to be a positive thing, not what they have ended up turning into.
