Email; info@_ibertyelite.co.uk and advise them when you'd like to attend. They'll then respond back to you.

We are members of the club and have been looking forward to its reopening.

However, due to Covid and the club's enforced closure for 6 months, we are amongst the many who are disappointed that our membership fee isn't being extended to cover the next 6 months instead. We are even more disenchanted to see that there is a £25 entry fee for a "social" evening. We can just as easily enjoy a social with friends at the local pub for free!!! If entry was free to current members we would be there like a shot.

Understand your view point sort of but you do understand that they are a business and not a charity and as such have to cover costs and at least attempt to make a profit.

I’m sure your absence will be missed.

We are sure they will make a profit at the bar just like any other pub or club.

We are members and love the club but with no facilities open and an entrance fee on top of bar prices on drinks doesn't make it an attractive night out for jus social. Would be there like a shot if could get in that Jacuzzi!!

It is expensive for a social so might stick to xtasia it’s cheaper and nearer.

Foolishly didn’t check the entrance cost!!!

Not extending Membership doesn’t bother us too much. They should extend it , but it’s only £20 a year and we are happy to forgo the membership extension to ‘help out’.

£25 for a social only evening is on the steep side tho. We love the club and the crowd that attends ( during normal times) but can’t help but think a £25 price point for Social only is poorly set.

Food for thought

Purely out of curiosity: how are these events running with the new rules that come into effect tomorrow?

Hi both, not quite sure where you got that information but it’s not correct. During this time we are not doing a membership and once we are able to open fully we will extend everyone’s membership for the exact amount lost during Covid.

Hi, if we don’t charge an entrance fee we wouldn’t be able to provide a buffet or the extra staff needed to keep inline with the guidelines, also due to location and only having a minimum amount of rooms the bar is not as profitable as people would think due to most members driving home. We are doing everything we can to keep costs down and stay open for those that want to attend.

Thanks for clarifying... that's good to know for when the club fully reopens.

Exactly the same as any pub or bar. They don’t have to close with the new guidelines. X

We have no issues with the fee and happy to support however when we go to libs it’s quite a big occasion for us as we don’t get the opportunity often enough... we never say we are definitely playing but not having the choice (understandably) is making us hold back ... we just wish it was all over so we can visit our favourite club with our friends, see johns beautiful smile and enjoy the activities .. hopefully those days will return sooner rather than later.
