I was going to ask.. is the Wirral not close enough for you.... ahem.. townhouse!!!

besides.. different councils reflect of swinging clubs differently... so the ones around manchester are a lot more liberal about this type of thing.. as opposed to north east councils who tend to shut them down rather quickly...

London

A couple have done so in the past, but they didn't actually do that well and were forced to close.

As there are some pretty good clubs within an hours drive of it, there really wouldn't be any point in opening somewhere unless it was totally outstanding. Few if any have the money to invest in such a kind of venue right now.

Actually while Townhouse is only over the water from Liverpool and therefore is geographically close, if you don't take your car it is actually a problem for those living in Liverpool. Thats because, while Merseyrail can deliver them almost to the door, the taxi home will have a double cost on it because of taxi rules in Merseyside, thus making it expensive to get home.

It is surprising that there isn't a good, reasonable sized club in Liverpool though. Maybe not emough Liverpool people are swingers.....

About 2 years ago one was going to open but the council stopped it. It did open but as a gay club. Its somewhere near Duke street. shame it never opened as a swingers club. Not homophobic but not into gay scene.

A liverpool City Council Black Cab can't pick up outside of Liverpool city council area, (same applies to Wirral council licenced black cabs not being able to pick up outside of wirral), therefore the cost of a cab back to Liverpool from Wirral incurs double fares and tunnel tolls naking it expensive. Bit crazy but true
