Newcastle and Gateshead

I am assuming that with the 10pm curfew on bars and clubs operating as bars socially for the time being means this will be the last weekend will be the last one open till further notice....

Unless a lovely club would like to tell us otherwise.....

P.s I know Blackpool is exempt

Hang on in there! It will get better, although it may take time, the way this government is mishandling things.

Beyond the shadows.

I suppose they could open earlier, if they were open in the first place.

"I suppose they could open earlier, if they were open in the first place."

On a Saturday and Sunday they could open 2pm to 10pm.

Any club in the north that was operating as strictly social only before the new local restrictions came in can still do so no different to pub - just will close at 10

Oh absolutely agree! But just stating a fact that clubs can open for social as long as they are covid secure & follow local restrictions if people want to bother to go for a few hours it's up to them. No different to going to a pub x

The logic in THAT as I see it is financial as in the government needs the tax money, the NHS, police, unemployed etc etc are not self funding they need to be paid for, the government does not have a finite pot of money to pay ferlowed workers.

The country as a whole needs tax revenue to survive.

Going to pubs, clubs, restaurants etc is about going as a family (household) unit not about meeting up with friends and other households, people in general don't seem to understand this is to minimise the risk of infection not eradicate it.

I know there is the group of six rule this is the rule that make no sense to me.

People have got very lax in social distancing I have noticed, I was in a que the other day I left a two meterish gap in front of me but behind me there was at least six people within two meters.
