We really miss. We used to love going for the day and staying the night. Just stripping down, unwinding and forgetting the outside world. Camping out a the bar all day, meeting new people, making new friends and having so many laughs. And then there's all the hot times and many first's we've experienced there. It really feels like home to us there. Cant wait for its return, its going to be one hell of a party. |

Really starting to miss our Sunday’s and Monday evenings at Chams especially with the dark nights drawing in and the weather is this bad, but as long as all our friends and staff there are safe and well we will just keep on looking forward to the day it reopens, |

Same here, was only thinking about it the other day, thinking about the anticipation as you walk up to the blue door, walking towards the changing room seeing all the wonderful people in their just wondering who you'll meet, what friendships you'll make and what delight's will happen.
I hope that everyone there is safe and well and I like everyone else will when safe to do so will support the opening of the best club around. |

I'm really missing it too, I used to love jumping in the car with my husband, and heading up there on a Friday night, letting my hair down and partying the night away! We've met some genuinely lovely, sexy people there...and made some great memories.
I hope they're managing OK, being closed for so long must be hitting them very hard.

I think it was about 2010 when I joined the club and have had many great nights there both as a single and going as a couple with a friend. Many fond memories and stories to tell over the years. Looking forward to many more once this is all over and I hope all the fantastic staff are doing OK as they were a big part of it. |

I joined Chams about 3 months after it converted from the gay sauna to the hetero club we all know and love.
The old showers used to have a magnificent mural of various male Adonis's strutting their stuff on a beach, then a few ladies were hastily added post the conversion.
Chams has never just been about the facilities, although they are amazing. For me it's always been about the members attending and the staff.
Best club in the UK, and like so many others I keenly look forward to attending once more. |

It's not got a label it's just a club and they have nights that cater for particular taste and ways of life, if you don't fancy those days they're plenty of other days/nights, also bi's gays and TVs can go anytime. Its the shop next door being refurbished. The club work was done before lockdown fortunately the club is owned not rented but don't know how they are for business rates etc..even without rates there will be lots of overheads still..but they plan to reopen as soon as they are allowed.. |

Agree miss out nights out at this amazing club. Think it’s looking like this will be the first Christmas and New Year’s Eve we won’t have spent it being naughty in chams! If only people would respect the rules, and equally the government realised they need to stop bowing to popularity, and a harder harsh but potentially shorter lockdown as unpopular as it is, is more likely to get us fixed quicker than a half hearted attempt that just makes it a more lingering death for many peoples jobs and livelihoods. I’ve worked for a company for 27 years, that almost had no redundancy policy because it was not even a possibility that anyone would ever be made redundant, or even want to leave the company - we’ve let over 500 people go and just about to release a further 600, and that’s unlikely the last...
Telling people on a Thursday they may close pubs on Monday is not only stupid they don’t do it instantly if needed - but actually makes the pubs even more busy then they would have been as people see it as the last chance to go out - rather than see it as being they need not to already! |

Why would they have a ‘refit’ if they are so unsure when they will reopen. It’s unlikely we will see the end to social distancing in 2021 so not sure how this amazing club and all the others can survive ? |

the refit was commissioned under the assumption it will get open again this year. One we all thought possible months months ago. I suspect now we know how much of an issue COVID is I likely expect 2021 is probable , I hope not but it’s not looking good. Will they survive that longevity? who knows. |

Why of why are people still stating about chams closing or having a refit..the refit is one of the neighbouring retail units not chams. Chams completed the work in late jan, early Feb time as anyone who goes regularly noticed. We hope things settle down and life can start to get back to normal soon but looks like the fear and paranoia of covid is driving everyone to seek more of a lockdown..and even writing off 2021 before its arrived. |

Most of the people in this thread are referring to the one in Darlaston in Birmingham but there is one in Newport too ownered by the same people.
I've been to both & although different in character they are both excellent.
I go to the Darlaston one most often as I know more people who go there as well as the staff.
I've not had a bad night at either though.

We have tried a number of clubs but chams (chameleons darlaston) will always be our favourite.. definitely missing our visits to this great venue...hope all the staff are coping well and cant wait to see them all again as well as everyone who makes chams such a special place to visit.. |

Just been for a drive in the countryside and stopped at a newsagents in the middle of nowhere to get a drink.
Opened the door and was hit by a smell of......Chams 
I would have thought that it was just that I spend too much time thinking about the place, until my companion whispered to me "smells like Chams in here" |

I know we should feel for those effected by Covid and to be honest I really do. It’s a terrible situation and fortunately one I haven’t been effected directly or indirectly to, health wise.
But, oh how I really miss Chameleons!!! Chill out during the day, some conversations with other like minded people, catch up on people you know there. Enjoy the hot tub, steam room and when it’s on.... sauna
Oh and yes, to play with all those gorgeous ladies who attend with partners or on their own. And if not... then hey it’s still a great way to relax and unwind. Take it as it comes.
Fingers crossed post 2020 and as the magic cure is rolled out, we may see the clubs reopen for business as usual. Mid year 2021? Well there’s always hope.

Sat here working from home wishing my Monday afternoon was in Chams. I loved Monday’s there with plenty of bi and straight fun in the jacuzzis, cinema and playing with couples in the glory holes area.

Camping out a the bar all day, meeting new people, making new friends and having so many laughs. And then there's all the hot times and many first's we've experienced there. It really feels like home to us there. Cant wait for its return, its going to be one hell of a party."

Ok so the “cure” has been announced! With vaccinations starting next week. Be interesting to see how this all unfolds, elderly and NHS with other front line people first, then the rest. We should all be done by April / May. So numbers should fall drastically start of the year and with next to zero by June/ July.
Maybe, and yes being optimistic here - go away those who wish to pee on my bonfire!! We may see clubs reopen August?
