I've been there a fair bit last summer and this spring, sunny days are very busy and the alternative market day was rammed,could barely find room to park.i think the pool area is open now so that should be an attraction. |

LAM, The London Alternative Market, is on Sunday 24th August this year. Busiest day of the year at Eureka. Lots of stalls selling BDSM gear & sex toys etc.
The O&I Sundays are also busy during the summer, details can be found on Fetlife. |

I remember there was some grounds you and your wife could cruise around and the building where they had dances etc. I remember later at night after it shut, the carpark got very muddy if it had been raining. |

i think the fact they don’t advertise on here anymore is out of sight out of mind! Be great to get it busy again was always a great night out, good dance floor clean play rooms great hot tub area and did some fantastic theme nights!
We like it for the ease of taking motor home and being able to park in woods for the night |

We just headed here, while the staff were really friendly the pricey campervan parking was on the muddy carpark so wasn’t really for us, especially when the grand total for the two nights was going to end up £130 before food and drinks.
Overall the place looked a bit too tired to command that price, in our opinion. We’re heading elsewhere now for the weekend.

used to be free to stay in motor home but last weekend wasn’t run by an outside company not Eurekas then self so maybe different

Not many were naked on Sunday because that was predominately a BDSM event.

On a separate note, what are your thoughts about binoculars? The last time I was there, a couple took themselves quite a distance down into the couples only field for some together time. Due to the distance that they took themselves, they obviously didn't want a close audience but didn't mind the idea of people watching them from a distance. This is entirely fair enough, not everyone wants someone wanking next to their ear or asking to join in, but also don't mind an audience, from a far, if they have a little outdoor fun.
However, I observed a man standing at the ropes watching the couple and then he leaned into his bag and got out a pair of binoculars so that he could spy on them more closely and wank. This didn't sit well with me. It was clear the couple distanced themselves and knew people could watch from afar but to have a guy use binoculars to get a close up view? That feels like a etiquette breach to me, but maybe I'm wrong?

There are only a few of us who geniunely go there to sunbathe. Mostly old timers, as it happens.

So me and my late wife re joined last year in the summer months August from what I remembered. The first Saturday we went it was not the same staff were friendly but it was empty. Must of been 30 people max for the entire night.
We thought we give it mother go so went for a themed night skool wear. I dressed up as I always like to make the effort. Turned up on a skool boy outfit my late wife didn’t bother. There was bout 20 people there and some actually started leaving before 12pm.
Sadly my wife passed away now. It nothing like if we pre Covid. I remember it being packed at night but I believe most have moved on to other venues. Shame really. |

I have been a number of times over the years, I remember the good old days where the hall was packed on a Saturday evening, was great fun.
I think the different changes of ownership over the years has led to a decline in attendance.

The pool is not heated, which on a hot day, is absolute bliss.
Yes it’s not full but you can still swim in it and it’s not the cleanest but no worse than I would expect for it’s location when so many are going in and out of it and have possibly been in the woods |

Only one hot tub was working yesterday, the sauna was on but not too much heat, more warm.
The pool was closed, Lilly today as well, but want missed too much as the weather was a little overcast.
Quiet, and very relaxed yesterday, location is excellent.
With the rubbish weather going to give it a miss today, off to BGHS, but back as soon as the sun’s out! |

Not been for such a long time but loved the pool and sunbathing when I did go. But what are the actual facilities like at Eurekas now?
Is the pool, clean and topped up? Do the hot tubs , jacuzzi and steam rooms work properly?

The facilities are definitely in need of some attention
The showers are cold, not sure about steam room or hot tubs as I’ve only gone on hot days to sunbathe
The pool isn’t heated, but on a hot day that is a wonderful relief from the heat, it was only half full tho and the last time we went (Saturday 26 July) it had been closed |
