AbFabs bi night FOOTIE?

We've just read an email from Kestrels / AbFabs regarding the Bank Holiday Monday line up ... a relaxing Kestrels day with BBQ extending into the evening bi night - with FOOTBALL being shown on the big screen in the cinema from 8pm!! What the hell???
A lot of the bi action takes place in the cinema on Monday nights with bi porn helping things along - so why show footie in one of the primary playing areas??
We go to the bi night to play - not to watch sport. If we wanted to watch a football match, we'd go to the pub or stay at home!
We don't think this is going to enhance the bi night at all - in fact it'll probably be to the detriment of potential fun in the cinema. Anyone else feel the same way? |

We've sent an email to the management questioning their choice of 'entertainment' in what is supposed to be an erotic play area. I doubt it'll make any difference but we just wanted to express our feelings on the matter. We're even considering not attending as the cinema is usually a hot-bed of bi activity - it obviously won't be this coming Monday with a bloody football match playing out in the background |

It may come to that although we'd be very disappointed. We can't attend often because we don't live nearby and normally have work the next morning.
AbFabs is our nearest club - even though it's an hour's drive away - so any chance to go along to a bi night (our favourite event) is something we look forward to. Who shows football at a swinger's party ffs? |

Is it a big game? not that it should be shown anyways but if it was the world cup final or something of that scale it might be justified.
The porn cinema at Abfabs is one of the most used playareas so why they are choosing ruin that area for the bi night is beyond me, anyways who in their right mind pays to get into a swingers club to watch football, surely your there because your looking to play with some real balls not watch some be kicked around a field?! |

It's Chelsea Vs Man U apparently (not a footie fan ourselves so not sure if that counts as a 'big' match). But even if it was a World cup final, is a swinging evening the right place to show it? Surely if people are so into football they want to watch a certain match, why would they want to come to a swinging club to see it?
The match starts at 8pm and with the pre match blurb, the 90 minute game and the post match analysis, I think the cinema will be out of commission for playing all night. Ludicrous! |

Well I've had a reply back form management saying they're STILL going to screen the football match on the bi night, effectively rendering the cinema a non-sex area (who could play with that in the background?)
They say they've had requests to screen the match - errr, couldn't they have said no, they're a swingers club not a working men's club?
I'm pretty pissed as the cinema is our favourite play area on a bi night - telling us there are screens showing porn elsewhere doesn't cut it I'm afraid; it wasn't the porn I was complaining about - it was the loss of a primary playing area. The ambience of the cinema very much lends itself to bi play.
We may rethink our visit - apart from anything else it's an extra tenner per couple because they're laying on a BBQ. I don't go to a swingers event to eat hot-dogs (not of THAT variety anyway)
Is this what AbFabs is coming to? Burger, beer and a football match?? |

"It's footie, it will attract men along. Cash in the till. Simples!
Remember it's AbFabs where cash is King."
But I can't understand why a man would pay £45 to watch a football match that he could see for free down his local. And it's a bi night - will straight men REALLY go along to watch football in that situation? I'm just baffled by it. |

Bi guys like footie too. Some guys may have been inclined to stay at home instead of going out and missing the match. This ensures that they still go out. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I've been told doggy and football go together.
I was thinking of going to Kestrels on Monday as it's the best day weather-wise but perhaps Sunday will be less footbally and more balls of another sort. |

"i thought football was 22 guys running around kissing and groping each other
yep i hate football so will not be going
xx"
I think they may have shot themselves in the foot with this ill-thought-out decision. Oh well - we'll just have to find somewhere else to play - and go to AbFabs on a future Monday... when there's no footie being screened.
Just hope they don't decide to screen Eastenders instead ... |

We're not.
But it's disappointing as it's our nearest club and we took time off to be able to go on a Monday bi night. We don't expect to see a footie match being screened on a party night. |

They do but it's a 3 hour drive from us. The south coast is a swinging desert as far as clubs go I'm afraid |

Another clear example of how some club owners have completely lost the plot.
Don't expect it to be the last
Just pray its somewhere else next time
Chams is your place for Bank Holiday Mondays. 150 couples - 70 odd singles is the norm. Bi action from entrance to top floor smoking deck. Legendry!
Worth a 5 hour drive if Bi action is your bag.
They would not dream of sliding in a footie match on that night or any night for that matter.
Such is life though eh

actually i disagree with you...
you are talking about 1 week in 52 where they are doing something different......
a lot of clubs have themed nights.... if they do a theme that you don't like, you wouldn't go...

"It's man utd vs Chelsea ffs"
I know - not exactly a world cup final!
And it's not a 'themed' night ... it's a bi night and they operate differently from other party nights where the cinema is just part and parcel of all the other play areas. Bi men don't generally socialise and 'flirt' in the lounge - they tend to play more anonymously in a place such as the cinema. That anonymity is all part and parcel of the atmosphere (you get the same vibe in a gay sauna).
My issue isn't with clubs providing 'alternative' entertainment on various nights but with this decision being totally out of touch with the needs of the majority on a specific night. It'd be like a club staging a monopoly challenge in a main group sex area on a greedy girls night. It just wouldn't be tailored to the event!
I'm only being so vociferous as we were looking forward to our night out - we can't do Mondays as often as we'd like so took time off on the Tuesday so we could go. I'm off to have a stomp and a girly sulk |

By all means mix it up from time to time but something along the lines of "naked leap frogging with lead boots on" would have been more apt or is that just me.
We would still go out regardless of the theme because for the most part whatever the theme is it will still fit under the sexual umbrella.
Footie fans will never agree with the gripe in this thread because football to them is more important than swinging.
On the whole swingers are a considerate bunch so we promise not to hold a bi orgy between your goal posts on cup final day. Promise!
