I am rarely speechless (those that know me will no doubt agree) however right now, I am!!
Tonights POOL PARTY is a SELL OUT
Due to health and safety reasons I decided to close the guest list on THURSDAY when we reached venue capacity ..
However what amazes me is the reaction of people when I tell them 'Sorry, the guest list closed on THURSDAY as we reached our capacity .. '
I have had abuse .. I've been told 'well I'll come anyway as I know the owner and she will let me in' .. I've been threatened with 'we'll never attend another one of your parties' ...
I really am speechless as this event has been on the BMFC Calendar for 12months!! ..
I regard myself as a responsible party organiser
Members safety is paramount
Too many guests can be dangerous
But too many guests can also lead to people complaining that its 'too hot' or there's 'not enough playrooms' ..
If I were NOT a responsible organiser, I would 'pack 'em in' and take their money without giving a second thought to their welfare!
So, this is a special BMFC announcement - if you have been told 'Sorry, the guest list closed on THURSDAY as we reached our capacity .. ' Then the decision ISNT personal ...

The only people that were 'turned away' were those who turned upto the party without being allocated a place on the guest list
This event was displayed on the BMFC website since October 2013 and I make it very clear that attendance is by guest list only
This event was a SELL OUT which meant that I had no choice but to close the guest list on Wednesday last week!
The decision was made due to health and safety (and fire regulations) ..
Unfortunately I can not take reposnsibility for people who assume that they are above the law
I make NO APOLOGY for informing people that the guest list was closed and I make NO APOLOGY for refusing admission to anyone that turned up on a whim!
