Sorry to say, but we won't be back.
Let's be clear... It's hardly palatial but we've had some fun in there and Dave is a very friendly guy. Past couple of times we've been the only couple in there we've been harassed by a snaggle toothed moron who wouldn't take no for an answer. We left and thought it could have been a one off.... Last time we were harassed by a pissed up Yorkshireman who was a real pain in the arse banging on the door when we were talking behind a locked door. I told the owner who looked concerned but didn't do much but chat to the bloke about how was such and such doing. Out of respect for Dave and his previous friendliness I didn't smack fuck out of the pissed bloke and we left.
Is there any clubs in the Northern area that have stricter controls and better etiquette? |

Yeah, thanks... A few people have said the same and that may be the way ahead.
It's just annoying. I understand how you would say you felt 'hunted'. Just because we go to a club it doesn't mean I'm hoping to see her fucked by any bellend with a Viagra racing through his system. I didn't even want her to go to the toilet alone!!! |

Try the No3 club, over in Chorley, and very nice clean, friendly club, in fact there having a social this weekend, myself and a lady have been a few times now, and we have always had a good time over there

Try Partners - Clive the owner doesn't take anything and if there is a complaint he deals with it on the spot. If this means "marching" a single guy or couple of the premises then he will... But lucky 99.999% of the single guys are very well behaved  |

We've never had any problems in Isis, single guys have usually been very respectful. Unfortunately some people will behave like dickheads wherever they are and whichever club they go to, but that's not the club's fault. That's like going on TripAdvisor and blaming the hotel on your holiday for allowing some foreign wankers to stay there. How dare they!
We've heard from others that Dave doesn't allow anyone to get away with behaviour like this if he hears of it, so as far as we're concerned to blame the club is completely unfair of you. People should go along and make their own minds up, and ignore what you've written! |

I'm a single guy and have been going for years it a great club and I always respect the rules.
It doesn't sound like the Dave I know and I'm sorry you had a bad time with just one guy but I can assure you if I had been in I would have told straight as would lots of others tat go in.

What a load of crap! To describe personal experiences is one thing, but to slag off a club, and to blame the owners, because of an unhappy experience with another customer is ridiculous, and of course it's unfair! It's not the club's fault if the guy was a complete tosser, and posting rubbish like that is unfair to the owners, who do a very good job. I find it very hard to believe that such behaviour would be tolerated at Isis.
The main problem with having open discussion in a forum is that it leaves room for the opinions of idiots. |

On an unrelated point, I have contacted the club to find out if they are currently accepting new members (single men) and do they allow new members to join on NYE. As yet I haven't heard back from them - does anyone know if this is the case or not? |

Sorry to read such a terrible thread about Isis.
Whilst we agree it's not the most glamorous of venues it's certainly not a bland warehouse and does offer quite interesting playrooms. We've always found it very clean, extremely laid back and friendly. We have seen Dave actually refuse entry to certain people and remove others for their behaviour which we haven't seen too often elsewhere. The environment Dave creates actually makes us go back time and time again.
Appreciate everyone has their own experience and own point of view, just thought we'd add ours to help a provide a counter opinion for anyone thinking of going. If you don't go, how can you have your own opinion......go try it, we think you'll have fun! |

No idea, but try ringing the club during the afternoon on NYE or call in to join, just to be sure, as it will be very busy in the evening. It will be a good evening. |

Only ever been on Thursdays which is of course tgirl day, but I've met some really nice people there and although the club may be a little dated regarding deco, dave seems friendly and never had a bad experience there myself. |

I have been going to isis in leeds for awhile. I always go on my own as I am a single women. I wouldn't go if I didn't feel safe on my own and I have many amazing people on numerous occasions. Yes their is alway a minory that spoilt it for other people. You get that anywhere you go. Dave is a great guy and I have seen Dave kick someone out and I won't want to get on the wrong side of him! Lol
I have been to some of the larger clubs, their is one I wouldn't go back as a member of staff been inappropriate behaviour towards me!
Isis is a great club were regular look out for people too. Don't let the minority spoilt it for other people. I'd tell them were to go myself if I saw anyone been inappropriate!

Isis is a small club so maybe 20 or so on a busy Saturday. Mostly couples but a few single guys and women. Party nights more like 35 to 40 and Euphoria one Saturday a month even busier.
Somewhere like La Chambre in Sheffield more like 50 or 60 at the weekend is my guess. |

i just loved the way everyone in the north west said go across the pennines when there other damn good clubs in the north east in Club F and Vivente not half hours drive from them....
and then you wonder why clubs in certain parts of the country keep trying to get more local people to try them... even when they win awards, people from outside always tell people to travel travel travel!!! |

thanks its one of my pet peeves.... people always steer people towards their favourite clubs to the detriment of perfectly good local clubs they have never been to...
thats why i like people like Clubpartypeople when they produce their independent "sex and the city" guides.... |

I've been a few times tend to go on a Friday afternoon with my friend subslut69 and we've found everyone very friendly and respectful ... Yeah even the single fellas .. I like others heard the negative feedback from others and was once invited to go with cjxxx which I regretably declined ( big mistake ) but now I've been I think people should go ... Try It for yourself
You won't regret it and if you do ..., don't go again it's that simple |

"Completely unfair"??? How can it be unfair of me? You say You've 'heard' Dave doesn't allow anyone to get away with behaviour like that.... Well, I'm telling you he certainly didn't throw him out. I'm telling you he sat and asked him how so and so was doing... We left!! We got dressed and left!
You say people should ignore what I say, yeah, that sounds fair. If you'd read my initial post in this discussion forum you'd see I was equally complimentary about previous visits so yeah... Let them ignore that too I imagine.
I never said anything derogatory about Dave, just that we felt let down by the security and running of the place on that day.... So, yeah, it IS the clubs fault in said instances. |

Have you considered that Dave either
a) didnt believe what you told him
(why should he ?) or
B) he did believe what you said and in his view of the situation he dealt with it in a sober and rational way ?

e have been going to Isis for about 11 years and never had a problem with single guys. Having been to other clubs, we find the guys at Isis the most respectful by far. We also Know that Dave, the owner, would not tollerate any idiots and would always investigate claims of misdoings from a customer. Keep up the good work Dave and here is to another great 11 years.xxx |

I think it will always happen; when people advise others they will do it from their own experience. A fair point from Most in the Northwest on This topic would be. "Club F would be well within Your travel distance, but I don't know the first thing about it." So they'll point out instead observations of places they do know.
At least no one from Ashford or St Ives came on giving the OP the lowdown on their local haunts... |
