I am in Manchester for work on 3rd February and staying over to be able to go to Amour that evening. Any advice on good(but not too expensive) hotels nearby to stay?

There's a few local, if you google phones 4 u arena hotels. They're never that cheap as it's city centre, unless you're staying somewhere less desirable - though I've only stayed primarily on weekends.

Have used Ibis Budget at Salford Quays to do Amour, usually about £26- £38 depending on the night (except when Man U play at home) Tram to city centre is £2.50, taxi back about £7.50

When I went I stayed at the stay inn, just down trinity. Free parking and the taxi was £3.50 to amours. It's a bit basic bit like a travel lodge but the breakfast was worth adding on.

The ibis on Portland street is like £55 I think, I stayed there a few months ago and for the price it's decent. Basic but that's what I expected.
