At parties...
copious amounts of booze.
One friend who was a regular hostess of parties ended up with a "Lost property" box, filled with all manner of items, if no-one claimed then within 6 months they were either binned, or put to use at the next party, depending on what they were. She took to scouring the house from top to bottom with box in hand after the last guests left, as the potential of having her daughter return from her dads after the weekend and finding something "untoward" tucked away somewhere was a little high lol
