Hi all, I went to a club at the weekend and had a great time mainly due to the people I met. However on looking at the feedback on here there are such a range of views l wonder if they were at the same place I was, is visiting a club that subjective?

unless every one is looking for exactly the same thing, of course it's completely subjective. Just have a look on a review page where someone has criticised a club. The regulars take it massively personally and get very stampy...

Everything is subjective. Some people love something others will hate it. It all depends what you want from you experience

Why on earth would you expect everyone to think like you do?

OP many people judge a club based on whether or not they play.

If they don't play the club must be crap because obviously they are irresistible so everyone there must want to fuck them.

Some of the best club nights I've had have been when I haven't played but I have had a great time chatting and having a laugh with other guests.

Think you might have a point there

I've been to two different clubs, and was equally non-plussed each time. Did my best to to interact with others without being pushy or seeming desperate, and wasn't expecting any play. In fact, the only positives I drew was the fact that I wasn't disappointed I didn't get to play, and the 'fear factor' of visiting a club by myself has gone

Not every club is everyone's cup of tea. .... nights vary and is massively influenced by who attends on the night We get. Avoids as people don't like it. Yet the same night people say it was the best ever ..... cant please everyone

I have my next club visit planned soon, and it's a different club again, so I'll just see what happens on the night. It'll either be the final nail in my club-going coffin, or I'll have a great night out and I'll be convinced to try others. Either way, it'll beat sitting in a hotel bar with work colleagues talking shop (hopefully)

Cleanliness is a major issue for us - paid the entrance fee to one and the place stank real bad - and your feet stuck to the carpets - we were out after 20 mins - clubs not our cup of tea anymore but, to be fair, had a few great nights in a couple of them in the past (i.e. atmosphere, company etc. not just the sex side).

Agree it is athe company and chat that matters, if the spark is their other things will follow in am sure.

I recently visited a club (not going to name it for fear of being savaged on here). My views on it are so far removed from the reviews on here it's like we are talking about a different place. I suppose that's the beauty of people. We are all different with different opinions.

I’ve often found people’s idea of what constitutes clean, is very subjective.

You answered the question. Depends on the people you interact with/or go with

Don't forget, too, that - although the basic facilities of the club are unchanged day to day - the staff will change from one day to another.

Good staff can make or break a visit - especially for a first time visitor. If they are good, they will show you round, explain the rules, make sure you've no questions or concerns left unanswered and chat to you during your visit, if they get the chance.

If they're less good they'll just chat to their mates who are regulars and ignore newcomers....

My views of clubs have been influenced by the staff as much as the club's facilities and the other customers.

We've left a mediocre and an excellent review for the same club in the past based on the nights experience. It's not about if we played or not but rather the other visitors, staff, cleanliness and the theme is important too, sometimes different types of night deserve their own review. It's all very subjective and with every club night we've been to we've never had the same experience twice so our opinion at the end of the night will generally differ.

Go to the same club on 3 different occasions and there is a good chance that you will have 3 very different nights. As has been said its mostly down to who attends and in turn who you interact with. Of course the club itself does have some effect on how you feel about it but its not the whole story by a long shot...

Also depends what your expectations and preferences are.

I went to a club well reviewed on here when I first started out and it was a terrible experience then I looked at the reviewers and realized they were mostly older couples. So it wasn't that their reviews were off it is that what is an amazing night for a late 40s couple was a big put off for me at 24.

So don't just go off raw reviews. Look at who left them and think whether you'd likely like what they do.

I have been to 3 clubs with the mrs

The first one was like something out of Deliverance and was just ppl sat round watching porn on old crap sofas.

The second club was a little way up north and was our first really good experience and we was made to feel welcome and had a lot of fun. We have now been back there 3 times.

The 3rd club was our local one. And we had a blast and is probably now our club of choice.

For us / me it tends to be the ppl in the club and what interaction we have. But on the plus side I go with the mrs and there is no one I would rather play with than her.

I see a lot of club bashing going on here and I have learnt that the reviews can not always be trusted.

But I do have a question to all... why if you go to a club and leave a bad review, why go back again and then leave another bad review?

Well that's enough rambling from me.

Isn't it good that people are willing to try a club for a second, or even third time, after previously experiencing less than enjoyable visits? The clear fact that most people agree on, is it depends on the people there, at the same time as you, which makes or breaks the experience.

Yes I do agree that most things are worth a second go.

If me and the mrs had stopped at our first experience we would have missed out on so much.

and there are other times when you are absolutely clear that something isn't for you...celery for example...and squid, along with a good few clubs we've attended once...

Reading through the feeds on this, i alsò agree the staff make the club work. We all have different experiances in a club if you get a good crowed of ppl and good staff should have a great night but you gotta get involved with ppl and conversation no use standing in the corner and not interacting with others. Ive never tried Amours but agree with what they say also.

Robbie
