A club. Less pressure. If you choose a club event with a host or for newbies, then there will be someone to show you round and introduce you to people. Choose a club with a bar and a wet area and you can have a drink, have a chill.
Parties are great but if you choose a party and everyone knows each other or a small party and you arrive and have nothing in common with the other guests then it’s a bit awkward.
I’d recommend looking in the club review section for your local clubs and checking out which of their events would suit you. |

Having run private parties for a long time before opening our club we can say both have there positives & negatives.
If your not a seasoned swinger we would suggest sticking to clubs as already been said as less pressure and can be Awkward if a small party and no one wants to play with you or you them, plus the safety element comes into play 
On the other hand if your an experienced swinger/s well organised private parties can be great fun in lots of different ways that a big club on a quite night can not be
