Dress Down Clubs?

I've visited about a half dozen clubs so far and have discovered that I have a strong preference for clubs that mandate dressing down in at least the play areas. The clubs I've been to that allow people to remain fully dressed ( CJ's, Atlantis and the Attic) have felt stilted and awkward. There's something very off-putting about trying to fuck whilst being watched by fully-clothed men.
I also think it's a bit awkward to go into a room and do the one-legged hop removing shoes and belt. Clothes seem to be a physical barrier. The class indicators of clothes are another barrier to the fun. I don't want to know your sartorial tastes - I just want to see a sexy torso and a friendly face.
It seems as if dressing down is common for clubs in the North, and less so further South.
I'd be grateful for any information you can give me to help compile a list of all the clubs that suit my preference! |

Cupids definitely.
The only not entirely dress down clubs I've been to more than once, Partners and Club SX, the play areas are absolutely must be dressed down. Sort of a middle ground? I sort of feel like, if I play in the bar area at SX, I sign up to being watched by people who are dressed. If I do in the play areas, someone's getting management to get them back downstairs. |

I know about Cupid's and Chameleons and No3 being fully dressed down. I know Quest is like SX - bar is OK but play areas are dress down (I actually like this hybrid as its fun to get dolled up for socialising then dress down for play)
I'm not aware of anything like that in the South, other than perhaps Kestrels?
And is there anything in the East Midlands? |

Totally agree it doesn't feel right that other people can stand about watching fully clothed in the play areas. Nothing worse than fully clothes guys with their hand down there pants fumbling in the doorway whilst your trying to fuck enjoy a 3sum or more sum. Thing is were they naked and clearly aroused then there is way more chance of them been invited in to join the play!

Townhouse has the best of both worlds.
You can remain in your finery in the groundfloor social areas all night if you wish, but you can also dress down/get nakie if that makes you feel more comfortable and sexy. However, in the play areas upstairs after 11pm, everyone is asked to dress down so there is a level playing field.
Before 11pm, again you can choose if you want to dress down upstairs, although most people do. We don't enforce it before 11pm as we have tons of newbies who are being shown around and they wouldn't want to get dressed down straight away just to have their tour. After 11pm, the main doors are closed, nobody else is allowed in and therefore no tours will take place. Also after 11pm, most people are sloping upstairs for sexy times, so dress down at this time feels like the natural thing to do.
I personally prefer this choice. I tend to dress down in clubs but I still want the choice whether I do so or not. I wouldn't dream of walking around play areas as a customer fully clothed!! So seedy! |

Yes that sounds ideal.
At Quest people start dressing down voluntarily around 10pm.
I don't actually mind fully clothed for tours at all. They're just being shown around and not standing there, gawking. |

Libs dress code works fairly well to me, we went last Friday and found that being back in clothes felt uncomfortable when it came to meeting people... people just looked more aloof and the likes! Get those tummies out and everyone is instantly more approachable. |

I totally understand the reasons why clubs have this policy however mandatory dress down in play areas doesn’t work for us. The reason being hubby doesn’t play he just enjoys watching so would be reluctant to get his kit off  we attended liberty elite last week for the Dark Desires event and while we really liked the venue and the hosts were lovely and welcoming we are unlikely to return as the dress down play areas just don’t suit our style of play. |

We are from the South, and I personally always dress down, my partner will go very smart, then change down later. Years ago most people would wear a lot less, but I think people in today’s society, are more insecure, or shy, and would rather stay dressed.
I agree with you though, most women would rather see a bare chest on a man.
At the end of the day, wear what you want, or nothing, and hopefully others will catch on.

I prefer the hybrid versions. I like to get dressed up and enjoy the bar area in Quest. Having said that, I like Cupids which is dress down.
I’m going to Chams tomorrow Saturday with a friend. I hope it’s as good as everyone says. |

I agree... I've been to Townhouse and I think their policy is good. I find it awkward to strip off straight away, but I like the policy later on.
To be honest, at townhouse, you'd feel like a bit of a goon being fully clothed upstairs anyway as you'd be the only one! |
