Posting event availability

It's very frustrating when someone posts an event, inviting single males to engage, only to find that we can't message them because they have a no single male feature on their msg. Can this be fixed please? By flagging a reminder to turn off their filter or simply not allowing people to do it. Thanks

Could it be that they only want men who have previously messaged or are on their friends list?
