Over the past few years there has been a massive rise in the 'fab for' posts making this site more like instagram than a swing site.
Fab for friend request : which rarely comes
Fab for part 2 : either post it or don't
Should the mods (or ai bots) reject these posts since it's really change Fab. |

"Im struggling, so far, to understand whatever this thread is even about!"
From what I take from it, the OP is talking about people who are posting public pics and vids and have added text, encouraging people to FAB the pic or vid...some offering a friends invite (and access to the poster's friends only pics) in exchange...or suggesting, if there is sufficient interest, they will post more from the same session.
I have always assumed these people were wanting the exposure - wanting their profile bumped up the "Hottest Pics/vids" list because they have content to sell elsewhere.
Either that or they are very insecure and seeking validation.
Do you win anything for having the "most Fabbed" pic or vid? A toaster? A code to use on Love Honey?

You are absolutely right. It would be an easy fix and it would help to return the site to be here for swingers - not for those who have ulterior motives |

Thanks for taking the time to explain.
I can't say that I have even noticed the practice, which is probably why I remain confused.
I do look at quite a lot of profiles, normally to get some insight into forum users' personae but I very seldom engage with people who I don't already know from venues.
I can't relate to slippery slopes linking Fab to other sites as I don't do general social media. That's probably why I couldn't get the gist of the thread.
However, I will check in from time to time to see what others are concerned about and try to gain more insight. Thanks again. |

Surely it is easier to just ignore these posts, just as you would ignore a post that holds no interest on social media... up to the poster to decide how they wish to use the site, and up to you how you use it? |

Oh I love the idea of a fab toaster.
I'd expect it to turn out perfect toast and keep my bagels warm.

"If they're asking for fabs in exchange to access for content elsewhere report them, that's definitely against the rules "
quite true, also i will always report anyone asking for money, however it has been the case in the past where reporting someone merely gets a mutual block imposed by admin but the offender is still on site.
ive recently noticed an increase in reguestes for drugs, which if im not mistaken is also against the rules. |
