i am not sure whether this is liked in with the problem, but my computer is logging me off every couple of minutes ...might be my computer but hasn't ever done that before. is there a glitch in the system?
at least i won't forget my password that way!

Try deleting temp internet files, cookies, closing + re-opening

thank you for that...i am on a mac at the mnute. it is always through private browsing so should be deleting anyway...
will switch off and on now. the ultimate IT response! [even though it is actually usally good advice of course]
