Would it be possible to omit profiles from search`s that have not been used for say over six months, put them back on as soon as they have logged on again. |

Are the results of any search shown by last login time? Cos I always thought that... And so just stop scrolling when you see 'last login 6 months ago'

we looked at someones profile the other night and it said they hadnt logged in in over a year !!!
you would think that after a year the profile should be deleted..
after all maybe something may have happened to these folks..
we would like ours to be deleted after a year of not logging in.. |

Like Steve says, all lists of profiles are ordered by date last online. If you're getting towards the stale profiles, just stop scrolling.
Sometimes people pop back on after a year; we've not got any intention in removing them at the moment.

Would like to think there was a time limit for logging in !! or is it all about large site numbers..
we would hate to think that if we were both dead or killed that our profile would live on for years on end..  |

i tihnk in circumstnces that were there had been a death as such, someone wud know aND contact admin on ur behalf to get the profile deleted , i have friends that stopped swingin nhavent logged on now in 8 month because they have a new baby so concentraitng there spare time there at pres but dont wanna stop swingin cos they enjoy it.. |

We never publish total number of registered users because as you point out, it's a meaningless number. So it's definitely not about that

Yeah your right - member numbers are totally meaningless until someone wants to buy that website

They'd probably be more interested in daily users/monthly active unless they were idiots. We don't keep accounts to "keep the numbers high".

im actually more surprised that this site has not been sold off to some internet corporation or something..
you do a good job folks x
it would be nice to know if there was something in place to remove profiles after a few years etc..
say for example - we both got hit by a bus tonight - id hate for our profile to be active in 5yrs time kinda thing.. |
