Another misleading article from the BBC.
The mayor of Agde decided to set up the free testing station just outside the naturist resort, not in the centre of Agde or even the vanilla Cap d'Agde both of which have considerably larger populations.
The Free testing has drawn people from all over the area, otherwise it will cost you 80 euros per person if you go elsewhere.
The day we were tested, nobody we talked to in the line was staying in the naturist village.
The business people in the village are up in arms and think that it's the mayor's intention to shut the village down for good |

. A number of posters have posted links into the French forum about the results of these tests . A lot of them do not appear to have visited Cap d Agde and are simply posting links without any detailed knowledge of the village.
Provided you observe all the social distancing rules you are as safe in Cap as any other resort. In order to form anh objective analysis of the Covid 19 test results we would need to know which village the person lived in , had they actually entered village naturiste or were they simply taking advantage of free tests, did they display symptoms before testing and why did they decide to be tested in the first instance.
The availability of free testing was not widely advertised inside the village. The saving of 80 Euros on a test fee was clearly an attractive option to many.
If you wanted results that actually related to the village , the test station would need to be inside the gate and you would also need to record where the person being tested was staying. |
