Still looking for accommodation in France for 16th to 22nd Jan as have flights to Geneva
And also
I am looking at St Anton either 21st to 28th Feb or 28th Feb to 7th March again just working out what will work best.
Was considered Canazei in the Dolomites 28th Feb to 7th March but considered it might busy with people going that area because of the Olympics 🤔 |

Morning, bit of a long shot but I’m looking for a room, chalet, or apartment for 1 in Val Thorens (or anywhere in the 3 valleys) between 03/01/26 - 10/01/26.
Hopefully can meet some new skiing/snowboarding friends.
Thanks |

"Any one been to Tignes what's it like "
Yep. A few times. It's changed a lot and can be very 18 30s. Load and gobby. It will depend on where you're thinking of staying though. A lot of good skiing there. |

"Plenty of Snow falling on most places now . Looking good for end of this month , Cervino anyone been there "
Yes I have been before it can be very badly affected by wind. Fantastic vertical and long leg burning runs. I found a lot of the runs in Cervino main bowls to be very similar but with the link to Zermatt It was good. I would say I preferred the variety of runs over in Zermatt to Cervinio but the Zermatt side was very expensive to stop and eat.
Well worth visiting |

Is anyone else getting worried about how long this EES business is going to take you to get through the airport and tight bus connections? I’ve got an hour and 45 minutes for mine at Lyon
Fingers crossed it will all work out.I’ll be in Meribel 31st jan to 6th Feb btw |

Loved popping over to Zermatt, and riding the James Bond cable car back up to the top |

On the subject of Skiing, can someone recommend a good operator? I was in Meribel in 2010 with an Irish company, but I can't find them! I used Skivolutions in Courschavel for several years, but they are gone too. |

We used weski last year, they were excellent. We got a great price and everything went very smoothly.
Ive used crystal ski many times before, they are also pretty good. |

There are a few of us meetings up in La Plange on 17th to 24th January 2026.
If I had a choice I would always go to Austria and somewhere with a spa 😁 because they have a fantastic spa / sauna culture |

"It looks great in the summer too "
Oh it's great. Fresh mountain air, sunshine and the pool at aquariaz was very nice.
Interesting walking down some fields where I've been boarding before and seeing some pistes as golf courses and BMW runs. |

Great few days in Cervina and Zermatt . We covered about 40km a day for 3 days my quads were burnt off me . Only one hard fall near the end was exhausted. Great few days thank god if had snowed well just before we arrived . We had 3 blue sky days . Going again probably next November again . Early res |

I would like to ski this season.
Taking easy these days, now I am over 60.
I am looking-out for a large Chalet group to join.
I could be an ideal person to help a group make up the numbers and keep the overall cost down?

If anyone is travelling via le shuttle, please be aware that if you don't make your time slot, your ticket is now cancelled. You will not be able to transfer to a later train. You will have to buy a new ticket.
These changes came in in May. Xx |

"La rosiere first week of Jan, hoping for a big dump of snow"
Snow forecast over Christmas so looking good.
I love La Rosière. Great skiing on both sides of the border, lovely setting and usually good snow.
Enjoy |

I’m really hoping the snow is going to improve over the next month, it’s not looking too great in the three valleys at the moment . I’m in Meribel at end of jan/start of feb |

We've never been, but it's been on Mrs list of places to go. We've been lucky the last few years in Montgenevre, amd had a nice dump before and during our hols. We always go the first week of Jan as it's a bit more affordable.
Enjoy"

You will love it but be careful to check that the lifts are operating to get back to France in thencase of high winds or mist.
If in doubt stay on the French side for that day
The Italian side is vast and some great skiing (and cheaper restaurants).
It is really a good domain - you will love it.

I was in Courcheval just over a week ago and the skiing was fine. Good cover and we skied where the pistes were open (not all lifts were operating as it is low season but the snow was good).
More snow falling at the moment and it is getting cold so you will be fine in January. |
