Still looking for accommodation in France for 16th to 22nd Jan as have flights to Geneva

And also

I am looking at St Anton either 21st to 28th Feb or 28th Feb to 7th March again just working out what will work best.

Was considered Canazei in the Dolomites 28th Feb to 7th March but considered it might busy with people going that area because of the Olympics 🤔

"Plenty of Snow falling on most places now . Looking good for end of this month , Cervino anyone been there "

Yes I have been before it can be very badly affected by wind. Fantastic vertical and long leg burning runs. I found a lot of the runs in Cervino main bowls to be very similar but with the link to Zermatt It was good. I would say I preferred the variety of runs over in Zermatt to Cervinio but the Zermatt side was very expensive to stop and eat.

Well worth visiting

We've never been, but it's been on Mrs list of places to go. We've been lucky the last few years in Montgenevre, amd had a nice dump before and during our hols. We always go the first week of Jan as it's a bit more affordable.

Enjoy"

You will love it but be careful to check that the lifts are operating to get back to France in thencase of high winds or mist.

If in doubt stay on the French side for that day

The Italian side is vast and some great skiing (and cheaper restaurants).

It is really a good domain - you will love it.

I was in Courcheval just over a week ago and the skiing was fine. Good cover and we skied where the pistes were open (not all lifts were operating as it is low season but the snow was good).

More snow falling at the moment and it is getting cold so you will be fine in January.

"Chamonix all of January if any fab couples around?"

Hi @ Nota Bene - I’m in Chamonix all season! Happy to meet up and chat all things Fab. I have a few fab friends who visit periodically through the winter so would be happy to introduce. Just let me know.

I might go to Snowboxx in Avoriaz in March or Snowbombing in Mayrhofen in April. I was gutted last year when I did Les Arcs and it dumped 90cm of fresh snow 2 days after we left

Ellesmere Port or Travelling

Advice please!

We’ve got the 19-26th Feb free for a ski trip, flying into Geneva; we were planning to go to Chamonix, but wondering if there’s somewhere with more apres ski vibe, and maybe a little less heavy on the wallet??

Really depends what else you are looking for, lots of Apres, big ski area.

I have just arrived back from Belle Plange it was good but Night life better down in Belle Cote. Probably around 7 euro a pint.

I would also say most larger resorts in France are now fairly expensive for most things.

I would think most places will be expensive and busy as those dates look like half term school holiday dates.

Stubai Glacier is about 1hr by bus from Innsbruck. When i have been there the snow line hasn't hit the town.

Still a great place.
