Cap d'agde - First Timers

We are looking to go to Cap d’Agde for the first time late june early july, we’ve heard so many good things about this place and would like to experience it for ourselves.  We’re looking to book a 5 night stay at Le Jardin d’Eden as this is the close to the beach

We read the excellent guide on the fever parties site but we were hoping to get some information with regards to eating out.

Up to now all our holidays have been on an all-inclusive basis, therefore this will be completely different.  Is there plenty of choice with regards to eating out? Is it relatively expensive?

Also, outside of swinging is there much else to do? Is it worth hiring a car?

Be aware that Jardin d'Eden is the club 18 - 30 of the Village. You may get club type music played in the pool area most of the day and night. If you want somewhere less cluby but along same lines as Eden, have a look at Babylon.

Don't worry about proximity to the beach, none of the accomodations within the village are more than 10 mins from the beach or the nightlife.

Loads of choice in eating out, from pizza places to classy restaurants and everything in between. Also supermarkets / food shops if you get a room with a cooker / microwave.

There are some decent places to see around that area of France, but depends how long your staying, if it's only 5 days then you'll probably only have a couple of days where you want to go out, so don't book a car for a week.

Geordies is right. There are plenty of places to eat and you can ask for a menu in English if you need to. Prices are about the same as UK eateries. Loads of nice bers and cafes too. Go for it.

To quote another couple off here ' I've eaten at cheaper 3 star Michelin restaurants than a meal out in the Village' But, what Michelin starred restaurant has such an interesting dress code though!

we are on a small budget so always go home lighter than when we arrived .

though last time we discovered a few places where you can have a good meal quite reasonably priced.

The restaurants have improved over the years with a wide choice available now. We agree Babylon is much better than Eden plus you get the twice weekly pool parties included.

So after careful thought we've decided on a week at la mirage instead.

Probably try cap d'agde next year.
