Verifications not showing up

I’ve tried to verify a couple of people and it won’t let me. I’ve verified others and it’s gone through fine and these people I know in real life. Any ideas?

I did think for my straight female friend that is probably the case but a straight guy who’ve I’ve messaged and am ‘friends’ with it seems odd
