Deleted messages

I’ve had a conversation with a couple. Messages in my inbox and sent box have disappeared even though i didn’t delete them!

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

It means they've deleted their profile.

Yep.

They may have left which deletes the thread.

But have also had threads vanish and the person is still here.

Have noticed unread message will sometimes vanish after a few weeks.

If it's recent chats, it's likely they've deleted their account. It deletes all messages with them from the site
