Now I can’t send messages for a few hours, is this normal?

Yes. It was the website you mentioned that will block it ( removed most of first post with it on ) The auto blocker won't know the context just the word so why it will block. The block will lift in a couple of hours as mentioned on the pop up that comes up

Also is there a list of banned words that members can read?

It can't be lifted. There is no list of banned words no or people will just get round them

It will lift in a couple of hours
