User may have added you then removed themselves from site.
There is a bug where if a friend request is accepted sometimes a new request notification is generated.
We can assure everyone that no requests are "disappearing".

do you have a big list of previous winks and friend invites?
if you get an email saying you have a new one but they have sent one before, it doesn't show up as a new one once you get onto the site - if that makes sense  lol
if you look through the list for the username they will quite possibly already be in there.

nooooooo i stopped all emails... if u saw how many messages i got from those infamous single blokes every day, you'd understand why lol xx |

I delete all winks and either accept or decline friends requests a few times a day, so its always just 1 or 2 at a time that disappear... |
