Think the profile holds the 'new' flag for 3 days (if memory serves)

7 days before they can post on forum (veri needed as well)

It varies according to which bit of the site you want to use. Three days before you can use the chat rooms (but becoming a site supporter overcomes this). I think I read somewhere that new profiles can't post a meet request for something like 4 weeks.
