A friend of mine who was on fab left now wants to rejoin and has been told she has to have a face pic if starting New profile. Is this true.

no, she might have been told she has to photo verify which doesn't require a face photo

Think registering has changed as it goes to step 3 and you must take foto and fab paper and username on it before u get signed in now
