Personally I would like to have certification which is displayed,and the correct setting. The music, smells and pre mind set are very important. I went for a tantric massage once and the lady was highly professional and extremely dedicated to her massage discipline. It wasn't cheap though, but an incredible experience of over two hours. You definitely go to a different spiritual mind body level. |

A yoni massage is a bit of a misnomer. In tantra the yoni can be massaged if the receiver specifically requests it. However a yoni massage will likely last 2/3hours, and includes meditation, breathing exercise, a chat about boundaries, and the massage itself. I think you would need to start with a normal massage therapy qualification and then talk to tutors about furthering you qualifications. You could Google local colleges and nightschools. As for checking qualifications and insurance, reputable therapist will either have these prominently displayed or have them available to view. A lot of therapists are also members of professional bodies too. |

Been doing massage since I was 19 but on the advice of friends I'm trying to get on a 7 month course of sports injury massage and get my diploma.. opportunity to turn what I'm good at into a career move. |

My recommendation would be not to try to jump straight to the massage training.
Tantra (to me) is about connection, self realisation and letting go of judgements (of self and others).
These are the building blocks that allow someone to effectively hold the correct space for someone in a tantric (based) ceremony/ritual. Which may or may not include touch.
Yoni and Lingam massage are great tools to help someone and at the same time can bring up issues that need other techniques to maintain the interity of the session.
Worth looking into some breathwork (so you know how to control / use your own energy ) and also the Wheel of Consent to ensure you and know/express boundaries and desires. |
