Will clubs survive?

Today I heard of a few business unfortunately having to shut down due to financial strain of Covid/lockdown and it got me thinking.

As a couple we've visited clubs here, UK and The States. The clubs are in pretty large units which I assume are expensive to rent and maintain.

So I guess the question is, do you think there'll be a lot less clubs around when this is all over? Or have you heard of any well known clubs that have been impacted already?

I think the problem with the clubs might not be apparent until they are due to reopen.

Lets say the one in Dublin is allowed a rent free period by the landlords for a month or 2 as seems to be standard

They still wont have an income stream for a few more months at the earliest if they're lucky.

Would people that use the club be willing to pay a small monthly fee to help them out or risk losing the club ?

Yeah, you're probably right about it being more long term for clubs. I think how we socialise in general may change for a while, let alone people having intimate contact.

I have seen fans of smaller artists and podcast support with patreon ect. It would be interesting to see if this community would buy into something like that.

We are looking at the worst ression known in front of us I dare to guess who or what companys will survive this. The payments to people affected by covid 19 are to keep people buying services and products in some sort of normal economy and boost the start up of normal retail activities as soon as lockdown is suspended. I fear after the 12 weeks of covid payments people then have to go on jobseekers (as the system stands) this will not only affect swinger clubs but all leisure activities as people struggle to pay mortgages and put food on the table.

Will swinger clubs survive those that are run as a hobby not the main income source for the proprietors may, the others will struggle among the other forms of entertainment especially that the audience they are plying their attraction to is limited

Its expecting pubs to only have 30 % of its previous capacity to reopen before Christmas

Clubs will die in the meantime
