Optimistically booked a trip to Dublin in December

Great Missenden

We live in hope and have booked a long weekend in Dublin, mainly to take in a couple of shows, one of which was cancelled from last December.

We're looking for suggestions of places to go and things to do.

We have been before so have been to a few bars in Temple, the Guinness factory and Trinity College library.

What else would you recommend?

Jameson distillery, any of the museums, any coastal walk is nice but you would have to warp up.

Hopefully your gig is still on at that stage

Depending on what date in december a walk around town with all the Christmas lights up would be nice

If the weather is crap a trip on the coastal route train called the dart can be nice

You can either go northside and walk around Howth pier or Southside which has the nicer views and walk on Dún Laoghaire pier

Phoenix park for walks too.

Bay boat tour between howth and dun laoighaire.

Viking tours are a laugh.

Oh that's a pity. Used to take friends visiting on them and always enjoyed it

I’m not sure they meant next December. They had a show cancelled last month. Maybe they did mean the one coming but it’s quite ambiguous.

Would be surprised tho if anyone would book a weekend that far away
