The pictures can tell you a lot but not usually anything about them as a person.
Some great examples on this thread from some of the nicest people I've encountered on fab but I only learned that by conversations and reading their posts

Pictures tell absolutely zero about someone... I've met people who have amazing pics up and are horrible people and met people with not so great pictures who are great fun to be around.... |

Some people don’t photograph well, even if they are good looking. Then you meet them and they blow you away.
Pictures can also be deceiving, people are often surprised how tall I am and think I’m a size smaller too.
As for personality, you may correctly surmise I am a little attention seeking  |

I totally agree I've met some and they were way hotter than there pic's and on Tue down side I've met some whos pics must have been taken 20 years ago. |

A pic draws you in. I see it like a shop window it entices me in but it tells me nothing about the person.
My pics are me, some cropped no photoshop etc. I am what I am. No point lying about been small. They don't show that I'm a good person and can be quite funny and chatty. As they say never judge a book by its cover. |

Its not how you photograph its how you carry yourself . Photographs are just a capture of the moment so you can't base anything on that alone. They only open the door of a profile for you . Their personality is what will hold more of an interest and help form a connection for you. I have met people off here that have had no profile photos but their conversation captured my interest and drew me in. |
