I’m not bothered about going out socialising…that’s more dating imo especially if it’s happening regularly.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s a difference between the UK and here. At the end of the day, it’s what works for the two people.
I wouldn’t be a huge one for going out for drinks etc so I’m not looking for someone to do that with me. I’m open to it now and then but it’s not something I’d be pushing for.
A fwb is not all about the sex for me, it’s about finding someone you feel comfortable with, can have a laugh with and when you’re both in the mood, have great sex.
A fuck buddy is someone you meet for sex only, with little chat outside of that. |

Yeah I totally agree with you. I myself enjoy the chats and laughing. I had a FWB not too long ago. We had so much craic over video chat and also met loads of times for coffee but on the odd occasion we did get down to the naughty stuff alright but we are great friends after all that. Still in contact with each other but without the sex bit. |

I have a fwb(more a fb) outside of this. She doesn't know I'm on here. I'd love to bring her along but we have mutual friends and friends of friends and I couldn't trust it would stay 'in house'. For all I know she might be on here too. |

Proper friends with benefits but OP alot are just looking for the sex only as well which is perfectly ok but not for me. To be honest i am much more comfortable with friends i need a connection so i prefer to go to parties for this reason.  |

Definitely if both parties are married it makes things a lot easier. One of the 2 ladies I met here was married (not on here anymore)and it was so much easier. Both of us were fulfilling a need so it was so much easier to just walk away afterwards.

Lots of reasons, lots, of ladies have demands which they are entitled to hold but sometimes I think those demands are not realistic. EG, please include a face pic with your 1st message. Some people aren't comfortable to send a facepic straight away. Another is you must be verified. Another barrier, its difficult to get verified if you can't communicate wirh someone who won't talk to unverified. The number of men v women s an issue & i accept ladies get bombarded with messages. So it's not an easy journey here which is why my expectation is low & I'm sure some will say my profile needs attention & that I don't sell myself. The problem is I'm not one to blow my own trumpet. |

I recently discovered the term casual dating which is another option.
Generally speaking, casual dating describes: something more defined than “friends with benefits” or hookups. Connections that involve some degree of emotional attachment or situations that lack relationship labels. A relationship you pursue for fun, not commitment. |

Well perhaps you need to try and tell people exactly what or whom you are looking for, you never know who could read it. BTW a fwb doesn't put demands on you. There is a thread to help anyone get their first verification, but I think that is mainly for security reasons as there are a lot of weirdo's and time wasters on this site. Photos are not always necessary at the start a conversation is a lot better to get to know someone and their personality before actually judging from their looks alone. I do understand that is important for some people but not for all. I wish you good luck in your search so please put you name down on the other thread and see how you get on. X |

I like the sound of that. I have an emotional attachment in all my relationships. I'm in love with some of them, I love others, im very fond of some. Anything less would leave me cold, and uninterested. So, yes,.. a fwb, but we're mutually beneficial to each other, socialy , sexually, (and with similar tastes in food and wine.) |

Needle in a hay stack time again, regular FWB. As much as I’d love one just like yourself op I’m finding there’s more time wasters and those just looking a one off more than anything else. I feel that because I’ve just got a few random meets and not be too a meet & greet many aren’t interested. I’m still waiting to get verified as sane so to speak. |

Yes, it happens that you slip into a fwb arrangement with someone you've great sex with and that you get on with outside the bedroom too.
My belief however it's not possible to actively look for a fwb as in signing up on a thread etc. The only active thing you can do is to have casual sex encounters and you never know one of them might be a match.... but that's just my 2 cents... |

but this thread is handy to find someone you may not have seen before, and knowing they are interested in more than a 'pump and go' means its got a different dynamic from the start.

"I was lucky enough to find a fwb a while back. It ended before lockdown but it was great at the time. We didn’t plan on it but we had met a few times and decided to give it a go. "
