Was driving around Clonakilty on Saturday. Found one of the beaches mentioned in the Irish naturist site, but could not figure where the naturists would hang out.

Was that long strand your referring to? If so it’s about a 100meter stretch of mainly as dunes that are nude friended tho it’s such a long beach two weeks ago some nude sunbathing on the beach also….

Yes it was Long Strand. We spotted the dunes, Saturday weather was rubbish so we didn't get out and wander, will visit again now I know where I'm going. Thanks

Ah Long Strand is our preferred beach.. very long and probably some secluded spots down away from the chip shop. Never seen naturists on our visits though

the naturalist/nudist area in long strand is... if coming from owenahinca , pass carpark/chippy in longstrand, road splits, keep to the right, a very long straight piece of road is in front of you, at the end of the straight road before it turns to the left, stop, park up, if you get to the stone cottage / lake you have gone to far, after parking up go to beach , theres a path, looking out to sea turn left and you will see a big level grassy area approx 150 meters away from you towards the galley head light house. that is the area, there are little camps of grass flattened down through out that area , enjoy
