I know that there's a thread in the lounge but I cant be the only one in Ireland sad over the death of this wonderful actor
My childhood memories of him
The wombles
Jackanory
But then watching him with my kids in Faulty Towers but especially most of all Doctor Who
What fantasic memories I have of watching it with my kids and to this day the scene where he blows a kiss at the Doctor tears me up
Place feels a little sadder today

He was originally in one of the Dr Who movies in the late 60s when Peter Cushing was the Doctor.
He was also a singer who had a few top ten hits but the one that comes to mind is "Right said Fred".
