Hereabouts

Not Fab related but just wondering if anyone else here loves ska & reggae.

I'm looking for a club or gigs to go to, since they are always where the best dancing happens!!

Rud boys rule....

I still drive to ska dub and root reggae.

It is absolutely the best music to dance too....

Don't know the clubs in Ireland anymore for this. But if you find em, share em please!

There used to be a ska night in the Foggy Dew every Sunday, I think it’s still going on

East / North, Cork

There is a ska and reggae festival in cork each year in Crane lane. We've had a great time in there.

The bionic rats are the band who played in the foggy, with del bionic doing a dj set afterwards. They have now moved it to the grand social and they play every second Sunday there, and various other venues around too. They're a dublin ska band, 4 incredable albums in and a new one on the way, check out "bad garda" for a taste of thrm on youtube. The old bass player used to run the ska/reggae festival every year. Best dance, craic and atmosphere to dance to in rub a dub dublin!

I'm guessing you're a skints fan going by your profile name?

I grew up listening to Ska and still have my original Harrington jacket somewhere in my parents attic!! I'd say it'd be fun trying to fit into it now!! I missed the Specials in Trinity college a few years back as I was ill and was on holidays for the last one...a mate was at the first one and said it was one of the best gigs he was ever at! Around 150 rude boys ended up walking up Grafton Street after the show singing You're Wondering Now! I'm still jealous !!! I don't know of any clubs but plenty of tribute bands gig all over the country! You've got me all nostalgic now
