Absolutely Brilliant! Also calling for a cease fire in their make up even better! Their acoustic version is beautiful I recommend. Right now it’s between them and Croatia.

It Eurovision time and I'm in my happy place

I really enjoyed last night, I laughed and enjoyed the madness of it all. Johnny Logan belting out Euphoria was great fun. It certainly looks like Bambie is in with a great chance of winning. I got so excited that I was chatting about where it would be staged when it comes to Ireland next year and how much are tickets gonna cost me, and will the government get into a sweat about it. Bambie is also the first non binary performer at Eurovision, so historical too. I was surprised Australia didn't get through, it was a catchy little number. Now to plan coctails for Saturday night.

I've genuinely no interest in Eurovision at all and haven't watched it since Johnny Logan last won.

I haven't heard any of the songs so can't comment but I'm curious why Australia are even in the competition?

Win,loose or Draw, she has got further than anyone else in the last 10years. Even if you don't like the song, or her or whatever, she represents us as an Irish nation, not our government or RTE. Leave politics out of this! It's a song and show competition she deserves to win it purely on merit and performance. I for one wish her well in this final and hope she gets something more after the show ends.

"Christ the UK one was muck

Because their broadcasting companies have been members of the EBU for many years. Israel have been taking part since 1973

Australia has been competing for the last 9 years in it.

Eurovision is the longest running annual tv music competition in existence. Stands at 56years! None in 2020 over covid! So the streak is broken.

But why do France, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK and Sweden get to automatically go through to the finals when we won it the most!

AUSTRALIAN SBS has been broadcasting eurovision since 1983 and EBU invited them as wildcards, so it's sponsorship they require to join in.

Israel has been in the euro vision since 1973, first won it in 1978 and are members of the EBU. And they have won it 4 times so far.

They go to final automatically as they the biggest funders of the event.

Aus and Israel are not in Europe.

Only reason Ireland ever won it was that it was a judging panel that voted. I don't think Ireland have ever won it with a public vote system.

Not often us Cork Rebels get to boast hahaha. Delighted for all involved and the act is representing Ireland well...we talk about freedom in Ireland and I'm thrilled this act has been embraced as it represents freedom of expression and freedom to be whatever a person wants to be. That priest up the country who tried to blacken and boycott Bambi Thug was saying extra prayers last night I bet which obviously didn't work

I think it's great!...Its great representation of Irelands theatre and drama. I get a real Druid, Macnas vibe of it! While it also reminds me of the sort of angry metal I love when exercising!

Not sure, if that is mental maturity on display, or genuine admiration for that attractive girl representing Israel

A very forgettable song. Not one you would listen to over and over. Anyone I asked didn't know the lyrics. Well done to Bambi for pulling in the points

Irelands entry was very catchy. Both the lyrics and the tune!
