I've hosted many parties on my journey on fab.
My issue is, where are all the spontaneous, horney, sexy fabbers gone ..it's like sitting an interview when you invite people .
I don't charge money . I'm all about open minded people coming together to have fun.
We all have busy lives ,we need time to switch off from that and step into kink and the unknown.. |

I'd certainly attend a spontaneous play party if it was planned about 30 days in advance, ( only kidding)
But seriously I wouldn't hesitate to attend a spontaneous event for play but only if I was previously acquainted with the majority of attendees .
So its more about knowing the attendees for me not the timings.

This is exactly my thoughts on it.
I wouldn't attend a spontaneous play party with people I didn't know on at least some level. I'd want to at least know that a) there'd be people there I'd be interested in playing with (and of course vice versa) and more importantly b) there'd be someone there who'd have my back |

Think there is such a choice now posted in advance on the forum people are use to planning in advance . I know our first party we got in because someone else had to cancel so we only got 6 hours notice. We didn't know anyone but had one of the best night's ever. |

While I can understand women being guarded with the amount of nut jobs out there, the majority of people on here (not just women) seem to be very judgey (if that is even a word) now. Spontaneity and the thrill that goes with it is a thing of the past. I'm all for it but this site is no longer what it was intended for, purely because society has changed and we are judged for wanting something different from our normality. I've just about given up on this site. |

For the vast majority on fab the site is exactly as it was intended. I'm not a swinger and never have been but swinging isn't about spontaneity or being permanently horny.
For some it's about networking and building a circle of friends that they trust.
For others it's just about meeting other couples now and again without the need to join a community.
There's a big difference between being judgey and being selective which most people on here are.
I wouldn't want to meet anyone who wasn't selective.
To answer the original question, I wouldn't have any interest in attending a spontaneous party unless I knew everyone including the organiser. |

While I like well planned meets, I also like spontaneous meets. They can be a lot of fun. It's like this weekend, I had something planned, which has had to be cancelled at the last minute. So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm now free all weekend. Mail me. Xx |

To be honest est this can be me juggling kids and then I get a chance of a child minder and I'm free ....never works out for me though |

I’d definitely be interested but I’d be very similar to this, wouldn’t have to know them or have met them before but would need to see who’s attending in advance of going. Plus if the date and times suited. |

Spontaneity is all part of life ,here or in everyday real life events , if a person can they can but a person has to be spontaneous in life , sometimes the thing that pops up last minute is usually the thing that is absolutely brilliant, always be spontaneous regards anything, being spontaneous is simply brilliant. |

Back in late 90s up to 2010ish, my exp was always house parties, likely after a social in temple bar, often 4-6 couples. That side appears from outside, to have mostly been replaced.

Great to see the thread... A post on fab taking it back to where it was before it became a dating site or one where people think a chat and drink gathering is at least €25...
Not about being free, there are always costs, but it's not about rinsing people either!

Totally true
All of that happens because there isn’t a “swinger culture” — there are no swinger bars or large-scale events. That means there’s no filter.
My wife and I have always wanted to host swinger parties to meet several couples and find out who we like and who we don’t. But with such a lack of filtering, it’s difficult.
In the end, everything gets solved by going out for drinks and seeing who you’ll have a good time with.
(We live in Limerick)
