Would someone's username put you off replying to them. I've had messages in the last few weeks here from profiles that have made me laugh,some have made me cringe and others have made me want to type back and say seriously does that name reflect who you actually are.Also some really clever names too. What are your thoughts and what meaning is behind your profile name ? |

The origin story of mine is that I didn't put any time or effort into it.
The 'G' is my first initial. The '80' is the year I was born. The 'P' has no relevance. Just a random letter I chose.
I only signed up to have a gander so the username wasn't important to me at the time.
I've had it 9 years now so won't be changing it any time soon.
There are some great usernames here though. And some cringe ones too.
But who am I to judge when I put no effort in to mine |

I used a name generator that has categories for adjectives and desserts.
The rest is history.
One of my favorite Fab memories is meeting a very fine lady at a social who wouldn't say her username out so she whispered it to me and said her husband chose it 😂 |

I wouldn't read too much into usernames, unless they're humorous or completely crass.
As has been said, the completely crass ones can give a little insight into the person behind the name and the clever ones are...well... clever.
I wish I had put more time into choosing my one. I actually changed it to a "clever" one previously but changed it back due to popular opinion (someone on the forums said they preferred my current one).
Now I use the "real name" section as a second username....I must have a look at that again |

We've been told/asked regularly to change our username. Only received a message yesterday from a guy, who informed us, (we think, his spelling was atrocious) our username was horrible.
Ours is tongue and cheek, a bit of craic, if you hate it or offended by it, your probably not for us, so it has worked in our favor

Mine is just a random name but when you say the first and last name together it kinda rolls off the tongue…. (It also perplexes UK profiles) apologies to anyone with that actual name who’ve received random LinkedIn stalks……
What’s turns me off… any ladies who go along the lines of “CumSlutWhore” yes there are plenty variations of that too tend to frighten off the less hardcore gents….
For blokes and I’m not surprised but their names are big declarations “HugeHungGuy” or “GirthyMeatSwordKing69” but maybe something like “ShyButtonMushroom” would be more apt but gotta love Men’s confidence 🤣😆 |
