Im thinking of taking a short break in the north around late July with my 17 year old son.. It won't be a drinking break.. Just plenty of things to do.. Such as diving, ski-ing..rock climbing...i guess you now get the picture... So any of you guys know the good activity centres for this in the North..and the best places to go to.

Any info is great...

I don't know of one such centre tbh , but the North Antrim coast would soon allow you to take in many activities in various locations .

Also Lusty Beg in Fermanagh may cater for a few of those activities .

Tullymore in Co. Down has an activity centre and is a great place for stuff like that.

Near the Mournes in Co Down you have a few good spots.

Glenhill youth centre in newcastle is good.

Tollymore adventure centre just outside newcastle about 5 miles is nice spot.

Further up north at Benone you can do surfing and some other water sports.

Hope you have a good holiday.

You might also like to check out the Share Centre in lisnaskea in fermanagh which has a great variety of activities for kids n parents.

If you had made it Mid July, you could have helped collect wood for the bonfires

The jungle is near magherafelt but definitely worth a visit, it has paintballing, zorbing and a tree top high wire thing.

There's also a coasteering group around the north coast that would do bouldering and jumping off rocks etc.

failing that you're stuck with Barry's in portrush lol
