Walking across bridges absolutely scares the living daylights out of me I am even terrified of the ha-penny bridge in dublin

Now at the weekend I'm going to try overcome this by walking across a bridge with a friend of mine. But I literally am having heart palpitations by the thoughts of it but know I need to do this.

Any one else have a fear that terrifies them?

Stems back to when I was younger and one dropped from the ceiling onto my head. Tried brushing it off but it ran down the back of my neck arrrgh get shivers still when I think of it!!

Have the same phobia. Some bridges I can cross on my own if there quite wide and I'm away from the edge, can just about cross the Ha'Penney bridge with friends any other one and i freak out. Have full on panic attacks. Not fun at all

Is it literally the bridge itself?

Would you climb into one of those glass boxes on the OUTSIDE of a skyscraper?

A couple of years ago I used to have to drive a delivery truck across an old wooden bridge to get to a construction site. It would put the fear of God in ya especially when the boards used to start creaking and the ends lifting up. And a good 10 or 15ft drop below

It's a normal phobia to have, for me it's driving over heigh bridges. Normally height is safety but car's and Jeeps don't have wings.

I can cross a bridge over water no problem, but when it comes to those footbridges over the road with traffic moving fast underneath then it's a no no.id rather dodge the traffic than have to use them .

It's facing your fears that gives you a great adrenalin rush

There's nothing like standing on the edge of a tall building to get a rush of adrenalin

On top of a tower crane is a good one, it has mesh flooring as well so you can see the height right below your feet!

"Walking across bridges absolutely scares the living daylights out of me I am even terrified of the ha-penny bridge in dublin

Now at the weekend I'm going to try overcome this by walking across a bridge with a friend of mine. But I literally am having heart palpitations by the thoughts of it but know I need to do this.

Any one else have a fear that terrifies them?"

Just take a deep breath, exhale.. look straight ahead as you walk across & before you know it, you will be at the other side!

Good Luck
