Carefull with Booking... hotel i booked in France debited my account in 24hrs following booking i made for 2 months in advance... it was a no deposit taken guarantee... called them and they apologised and took a week to have hotel refund me.... so just be carefull.. |

Do I just pop into any o2 shop for one? "
Well a 3 shop now as they took over o2 but yes ask for an o2 money card u can top up.online or just walk in to a shop u will need a postal address and PIC proof they send u a code to the postal address for future top up |

I think she just meant that they will accept payment in cash if you prefer to pay that way...she wasnt necessarily saying that these hotels dont look for card details to initially secure the booking |

That defeats the purpose cause my walking atm gets the post and brings it up to me. He'd know I'm planning to cheat on him with a young hunk |

Its a one off letter they have to do to prove address by law I think usually plain envolope with the o2 logo on it nothing to cause suspicion over its a debit card so u have to be in credit to use it |

A lot of hotels would need card details but when you get there you can say you'll pay in cash. A few would take €4 or so when you book and the rest when you check in but you can just pick up the phone before booking anywhere just so you know where you stand. |

Sure someone said it already up above, if you book through booking.com or agoda or sites like those, take a booking that allows you to pay when youre in the hotel. Theyll need your card details, but only to hold the room, no monies will be taken. You can then pay in cash at the hotel if you like. Does that not solve your problem?
Or is it that you actually dont own a card? |
