That clip they showed looked as if it was from the National Stadium. If it was Christmas 78 I was there. Crap venue, but a brilliant gig.

There's a quote painted into a walk in cork(must check validity), but it asks Jimi Hendrix "what it's like to be the best guitarist on the world."

He answers by saying "I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher".

Epic stuff, even if just urban legend.

Great group and Sting can be forgiven for a lot of pontificating for writing Fields of Gold.

Interesting aside,their drummer Stewart Copeland`s father was the CIA station chief in Chile 1973 that organised the coup that overthrew the elected president Salvador Allende and replaced him with the dictator Augusto Pinochet.
