Very much still around both in an institutional sense and a casual one. It's not as bad as it used to be, but it's still there.

2 examples

Casual: I work in an open plan office, the receptionist sits to the left of me. When guys come in, customers, reps, couriers looking for directions. If I turn my head and make eye contact, they automatically start talking to me, straight over her head. She could actually be in the middle of talking to them and it still happens. Especially guys looking for directions.

Institutional: one of my daughters friends from college was arrested last weekend for going topless in her town. She did it to prove a point because men are allowed walk around topless. I can think of better ways to prove a point, but on the same day guys were walking around with no tops on and faced no censure.

So yes I think it definitely still exists in many ways.

Given gender pay inequalities are still going strong in 2016 I don't see sexism going anywhere anytime soon.

The media continues to fuel the fire at an alarming rate.

Fact: women have smaller feet than men.

.

This is to enable them to stand closer to the kitchen sink.
